simple.if you effectively ban gasoline cars by measures i just listed you just ban personal freedom of choice. any reduction of this is one step towards facism.
None of those measures directly made gasoline cars more expensive, they just made the better option cheaper. Anybody that could afford those measures previously when buying a gasoline powered car can still afford to do so if they chose, but now they have the option of not paying for them.
If you had, you would give up your Tesla in a heartbeat. It’s that much better than a Tesla. This comes from someone who has driven both and was set on getting a Model Y.
If driving characteristics is all you care about and you think it drives better then you made the right choice.
I love the way my Tesla Model Y drives and it does a lot more than a Mach-e could ever do.
Well, duh. It’s a car. You drive it. I didn’t want an inferior car, so I went with the better one.

Bullchit...You bought it to impress upon other liberals your wokeness.
Days ago, officials in California unveiled a plan to phase out new gas-powered cars. Now, officials are asking residents to avoid charging their electric vehicles in the interest of not overwhelming the power grid. The wester...
You know that fossil fuels won’t be able to power human activity forever, right? There isn’t enough oil, coal and gas in the Earth to keep the lights on until life on this planet ends.

Yes everyone understands that.
The non-delusional understand that destroying the economy to make the switch to renewables decades before renewables are viable and CENTURIES before fossil fuels run out is an idiotic idea.

Lol, incentivizing new technology is not 'destroying the economy.' Scientific advancement is good actually. This 'computer' thing you sit at all day posting didn't exist until a few decades ago.

Stop being a luddite.
Banning gas cars isn't "incentivizing" new technology it's forcing new technology.
By your logic the government should have banned paper and pencils in 1950 because "scientific advancement is good".

genius. if the romans had banned horses we would have gotten cars much earlier.

If you love the way your Model Y drives, you would love the Mach-e. You can’t compare the two unless you’ve driven both.
Compared to my Mach-e, the Model Y is like a kit car. The quality of the Mach-e is so much better. It’s not even debatable. If frunk specs and knowing what your tire wear is are more important than driving a quality vehicle, I guess you made the right choice.
And you are bragging about range? Your Y either gets less range than mine or like a dozen more. Lol
Come on man. Even the chief engineer of the Mach-e says that Tesla quality is better.
But now it looks like we might know the model you are talking about. It's the Route 1 Rear Wheel Drive, which gets 305 miles of range from a huge 91 kWh battery.
The long range Model Y is dual motor and gets 330 miles of range from an 82 kWh battery. So the Model Y beats range by 25 miles, which is over twice the dozen you said.
And obviously, the Model Y is a better-built EV because it is a lot more efficient, getting 4.02 miles per kWh. And your Mach-e gets only 3.35 miles per kWh.
Ford's engineer is right about being behind.
Furthermore, there is no way a single motor rear wheel drive outperforms a dual motor in driving characteristics. Even a short test drive wouldn't fool you into thinking that.

How did it drive when YOU drove the Mach-e?
If you drove one, you’d sell your Tesla right now and get a Mach-e. No doubt. It’s drives that much better. I know. I’ve driven both. The Model Y is like driving with square wheels when compared to the my mach-e. Why don’t you actually drive one and not just look at the frunk specs. Lol

I don’t think 2035 is realistic to have the infrastructure in place to where anyone in need of a new car in California will have no problem recharging quickly and conveniently as we can refuel an ICE car today.
But we also can’t keep putting this much carbon into the atmosphere, either.

Check your specs sheets again. And I charge from home, so I leave everyday with a topped off battery. A dozen miles is insignificant to me. But, hey. Those dozen miles look real good on a spec sheet. Lol

I don't have access to a Mach-e. They are rare because Ford's engineering isn't good enough to make them in high volume.
Even the Mach-e chief engineer admits that Tesla is better.
And now that we know which model you have we know that mine handles better, gets longer range, and has faster acceleration. Plus the Tesla has dozens of features that yours doesn't.
I don't need to drive it to know that a dual motor handles better than a single motor. You can't fool physics.

California couldn't even keep the lights before EVs came along.
If we're going to declare that CO2 is a problem we should at least be honest about it.
Nothing the US does will mean a damn thing so long as the rest of the world isn't playing along.
