We are not a failed state like the USA where anarchy prevails and the Capitol gets stormed.
Lock the f***ckers up
You see there's posts like these that I can't tell if I am Sam is just a master troll or if our outlooks on freedom and liberty are just so diametrically opposed that we simply can't understand eachothers point of view.
Essentially giving up all your freedom for a virus that has a mortality rate of less than 1% for most people is just insane to me.
Firstly, learn to use the quote function, its pretty straightforward, you just clicxk the quote button.
Our freedom is our freedom to tell the govt what to do, and they either respond or we turf them out within 3 yrs, or their own cabinet senses that they will get turfed out, they will turf out their leader, and change policy.
That is our freedom. We don't do what the government tells us, they do what we tell them. It's called democracy. Look it up, it might prevent another moran like a p*ssy grabbing, tax evading, draft dodging, bankrupt liar become president again.
Like our freedom to not have mass shootings, or fear being executed by cops etc. You should ttry this thing called freedom and democracy.
Yes, it is less than 1%, yes it mostly kills people with underlying conditions and yes it also gives many healthy people long term effects.
So in a measured way, we say, 'hey, our economy is great (best in world btw)' we can live with not going to the pub until we get to 80% vaxxed. We will reach this in November and will be travelling overseas etc...that's the deal. If they don't honour the deal, we don't honour their incumbency.
This is how democracy works...did I say you should try it.
At the moment, even though I am in a so called 'hotspot area', I can go to work, I did so yesterday just because it was a beautiful day, so I jumped on the motorbike.
I just came back from picking up some hardware that I bought online, no problem. Will do some work on house, look at some work emails and issues and go for a run later.
Sounds like a fair deal to get a safe return when we get to 80%.
...and no, I won't fly to USA, not because of Covid, just scared of non democratic countries, serial killers, rogue cops and all that.
Thinking of doing the silk road on motorbike, vax passport in hand.
Freedom!!!
Cheers
