Anyway, to paraphrase Sun-Tzu, "Never interrupt your enemy when she is making a mistake."
It's long past time that we have a female President in this country, but Kamala is the opposite of a gifted politician. She's great at preaching to the choir, half of whom can't stand her, like more than half of America. She isn't stupid or without ambition, she just seems to have Hillary Clinton disease when it comes to understanding why people could possibly not like you...she would do well to study Trump for how to deal with that problem.
It's too early, but 2028 looks dismal for the Democratic Party due to a serious lack of palatable candidates. Gavin Newsome is the frontrunner right now, and his MO seems to consist of "I'm going to copy every defect in Trump's personality, because people like that!" No they don't...they *tolerate* it. Because Trump gets things done. Worse, he actually tells you what he intends to do before doing it. Half of America hates him, sure, but you never hear "What does he even stand for?" among the complaints.
Dems need a Bill Clinton/Barack Obama "hopey-changey" figure stat. If they don't get one, they will be left with a Kamala problem, or a wide bench of candidates who have backed policies that were once the rage, all of whom simply will not go away. My money is on John Fetterman. He's got balls, which is good. But he actually *has* balls, which is problematic.
Progressivism is tearing the party apart. Not a bad thing, as the Republican party suffered a similar fate in 2016, which paved the way for the GOP to essentially become the party of Trump.
AOC 2028? Well, she's lost the short kings vote...but is the closest thing Dems have to a candidate within the stratosphere of Trump's charisma. So...AOC 2028???

Dems are just terrible at politics. They all campaign on the same issues the student body president of a blue state liberal arts college would campaign on.
they are fairly good at running nations, but they are terrible at vote getting.
these days it's all about charisma. Dems should find someccharismatic show business guy without a coastal feel to run.

Any candidate openly disparaging Trump and MAGA is eliminated. Start there, but Dems too stupid. Want to beat the same dead horse but MAGA is riding a thoroughbred
I’ve seen video of Ice groups and a handful don’t have masks. Proving it’s optional.
You wanna make a lot of money?
Someone needs to get hired by Ice and then quit and write an expose of the entire experience. I suspect that with Kristi Noem and Trump at the helm, the whole experience is a clusterfook of incompetence and unprofessionalism. Not to mention a big reveal of the quality of hires considering they need to offer $60,000 signing bonuses to join.
It would be fascinating to watch a 60 minutes deep dive into that.
Believe it or not, doing exactly that crossed my mind within the last week !! Probably not going to happen, but.....

You nailed it: the Dems have become the anti-Trump party. It worked great in 2020 and the 2022 midterms (where Trump wasn't even on the ballot). It's a terrible strategy after he was re-elecred. "Let's call everyone who disagrees with us a 'bigot!' And...let's give ourselves an impressive name like 'The Resistance.'" Good luck with that.

you know that starting in 2018 in the idiot's first term,
the Dems won the house, senate and WH with that strategy, right?

I'd like to answer that question for the Rep.: "Because it's the next best thing to personally servicing him."
let's do a quick check of the presidential rankings to see how this great man donald trump is shooting up the rankings. He's got to be top half by now, right? Top 10? Maybe he deserves to be on a bill, despite the illegality of it.
Oh wait. Trump is DFL.
huh. Maybe we shouldn't break the law to have a currency named for the absolute worst ranked president ever.
In political studies, since the mid 20th-century, surveys have been conducted in order to construct historical rankings of the success of the presidents of the United States. Ranking systems are usually based on surveys of ac...
”Trump vows to nationalize as many private companies as it takes to defeat socialism”
Trumpnomics worked incredibly well in his first term. Don't be a panican.
? What’s spending like? What are long-term prospects? What’s fiscal responsibility from a conservative point of view? Given the way American businesses have performed and the way the world economy has been outside of the Covid problem (and even now in spite of that, taking it all into account), my guess is that probably any Republican who ran for office in 2016, 2020, or 2024 would have achieved the same results or better. If Rubio had become president in 2016, or if DeSantis had been the republican nominee and eventual general election winner last year, the country would be much, much better off right now..

The "ranking" is done by people with complete TDS. And Wikipedia is incredibly biased - their nonprofit status is up in their air. Just look at the pages of Biden vs Trump to see why - basically neutral (informative) vs incredibly negative.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.[a] (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 46th president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he represented Delaware in the United States Senate from 1973 to 2009 and also served as the 47th vice president under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965 and the Syracuse University College of Law in 1968. He was elected to the New Castle County Council in 1970 and the U.S. Senate in 1972. As a senator, Biden chaired the Senate Judiciary Committee and Foreign Relations Committee. He drafted and led passage of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act and the Violence Against Women Act. Biden also oversaw six U.S. Supreme Court confirmation hearings, including contentious hearings for Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. He opposed the Gulf War in 1991 but voted in favor of the Iraq War Resolution in 2002. Biden ran unsuccessfully for the 1988 and 2008 Democratic presidential nominations. In 2008, Obama chose him as his running mate, and Biden was a close counselor to Obama as vice president. In the 2020 presidential election, Biden selected Kamala Harris as his running mate, and they defeated Republican incumbents Donald Trump and Mike Pence. As president, Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent recession. He signed bipartisan bills on infrastructure and manufacturing. Biden proposed the Build Back Better Act, aspects of which were incorporated into the Inflation Reduction Act that he signed into law in 2022. He appointed Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court of the United States. In his foreign policy, the U.S. reentered the Paris Agreement. Biden oversaw the complete withdrawal of U.S. troops that ended the war in Afghanistan, leading to the Taliban seizing control. He responded to the Russian invasion of Ukraine by imposing sanctions on Russia and authorizing aid to Ukraine. During the Gaza war, Biden condemned the actions of Hamas as terrorism, strongly supported Israel, and sent limited humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. A temporary ceasefire proposal he backed was adopted shortly before his presidency ended. Concerns about Biden's age and health persisted throughout his presidency. He became the first president to turn 80 years old while in office. He began his presidency with majority support, but saw his approval ratings decline significantly throughout his presidency, partially due to public frustration over inflation, which peaked at 9.1% in June 2022 before dropping to 2.9% by the end of his presidency. Biden initially ran for reelection and, after the Democratic primaries, became the party's presumptive nominee in the 2024 presidential election. After his performance in the first presidential debate, renewed scrutiny from across the political spectrum about his age and health led him to withdraw his candidacy. In 2022 and 2024, Biden's administration was ranked favorably by historians and scholars, diverging from unfavorable public assessments of his tenure. He is the oldest living former U.S. president and the oldest person to have served as president.
vs
Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician, media personality, and businessman who is the 47th president of the United States. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021. Born into a wealthy family in New York City, Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in economics. He became the president of his family's real estate business in 1971, renamed it the Trump Organization, and began acquiring and building skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. He launched side ventures, many licensing the Trump name, and filed for six business bankruptcies in the 1990s and 2000s. From 2004 to 2015, he hosted the reality television show The Apprentice, bolstering his fame as a billionaire. Presenting himself as a political outsider, Trump won the 2016 presidential election against Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton. During his first presidency, Trump imposed a travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries, expanded the Mexico–United States border wall, and enforced a family separation policy on the border. He rolled back environmental and business regulations, signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and appointed three Supreme Court justices. In foreign policy, Trump withdrew the U.S. from agreements on climate, trade, and Iran's nuclear program, and initiated a trade war with China. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020, he downplayed its severity, contradicted health officials, and signed the CARES Act. After losing the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden, Trump attempted to overturn the result, culminating in the January 6 Capitol attack in 2021. He was impeached in 2019 for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, and in 2021 for incitement of insurrection; the Senate acquitted him both times. In 2023, Trump was found liable in civil cases for sexual abuse and defamation and for business fraud. He was found guilty of falsifying business records in 2024, making him the first U.S. president convicted of a felony. After winning the 2024 presidential election against Kamala Harris, he was sentenced to a penalty-free discharge, and two felony indictments against him for retention of classified documents and obstruction of the 2020 election were dismissed without prejudice. A racketeering case related to the 2020 election in Georgia is pending. Trump began his second presidency by initiating mass layoffs of federal workers. He imposed tariffs on nearly all countries at the highest level since the Great Depression and signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. His administration's actions—including intimidation of political opponents and civil society, deportations of immigrants, targeting of transgender people, and extensive use of executive orders—have drawn over 300 lawsuits challenging their legality. High-profile cases have underscored his broad interpretation of the unitary executive theory and have led to significant conflicts with the federal courts. Judges found many of his administration's actions to be illegal, and several have been described as unconstitutional. Since 2015, Trump's leadership style and political agenda—often referred to as Trumpism—have reshaped the Republican Party's identity. Many of his comments and actions have been characterized as racist or misogynistic, and he has made false or misleading statements and promoted conspiracy theories to a degree unprecedented in American politics. Trump's actions, especially in his second term, have been described as authoritarian and contributing to democratic backsliding. After his first term, scholars and historians ranked him as one of the worst presidents in American history.
