This makes no sense.
On the same order of asking someone “do you see a contradiction that you supported the U.S. attacking Germany in WWII but you now oppose going into Vietnam”.
comparing the two makes sense to me because the 60s protests and the current protests have a lot in common. Both were in favor of civil rights, against police brutality, for changing the world to a more left and less capitalist path, etc. You have to start quibbling to find material differences.
Whereas it's pretty easy to find differences between WW2 and the Vietnam war.
