.@SecretaryWright on canceling $8B in Radical Left Green New Scam funding: "Should American taxpayers really fund decarbonizing Uber Eats in San Francisco or building e-bike lanes in Portlandia? $600M to further subsidize construction of unreliable, expensive electricity?"
Yes! It’s much better than giving money to the family of dead terrorists like Ashli Babbitt.
How many? Very few. In Texas, for example, from 2013 to 2022, the homicide conviction rate for illegal immigrants was 2.2 per 100,000, compared to 3.0 per 100,000 for native-born Americans.
Will you accept these facts that illegal immigrants are less prone to commit homicide than your fellow citizens?
Any crime committed by an illegal immigrant shouldn’t have happened in the first place…shouldn’t be here

Please name a country with your ideal immigration policy and enforcement program. Is it North Korea? I don’t think they have any illegal immigrants, while virtually every other nation on Earth, which all allow human transit and some measure of freedom of movement, has some presence of illegal immigration.

At this point, there is no core policy objective of the conservative movement - it's just about dismantling existing institutions that they don't understand, and to clap like seals whenever Grandpa posts AI slop to his Truth Social page about how he's got a six pack and is going to make it illegal to live in San Francisco.

the only core policy of 'the conservative movement' is to line up in single file behind Donald Trump, one of the worst Americans who has ever lived.
They have zero consistent views beyond the four core issues: anti-trans men, anti-trans women, anti-immigrants and anti-city.
Remember when the national GOP declined to issue a platform because they couldn't predict Trump's 180s? They literally announced 'we support whatever DJT supports, end of story.'

It’s idiocracy. In some ways, it’s the grand fulfillment of the vicious cycle of reducing the capability of the government from being effective, and then citing that lack of effectiveness as further reason to reduce government resources. It’s a dream scenario for now where the well off will have excellent medical care, elite schools for their kids and gated communities to live in, and the rest can shift towards serfdom.
miami is not thriving. It is the city in crisis. You really need to work harder to keep up.
Overall, condo sales in Miami-Dade County fell more than 17% in July, compared with a year ago

👆awe, you poor thing. lost in such a great country, all wrapped up in twisted little stats to put a fake smile on your face so you can try to explain why living in S Chicago is much much better than Miami Beach. Keep digging, I think you can find these stats.
Bet you wish Trump wasn’t in power huh?
bet you wish kids from all over Trumplandia weren't escaping to blue cities where they can actually make a living and get away from their opioid addicted families.
sombrero meme incredible but today’s maybe even better.
I know it blows for you jokers but, as fate would have it, you’re on the wrong side of History.
The Democratic Party is headed to the rungs of our American political ladder, someday children will visit your historical name in the Smithsonian, just below The Know Nothings.
The good news for those here is that most of you run, so can benefit from its awesome powers as medicine for stress relief, reflecting that it was your actions and voices that did this. Others aren’t so fortunate.
JUST IN: Former Trump spiritual adviser and Texas megachurch pastor Robert Morris pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl. He will serve only 6 months in jail and pay $250,000 in restitution.
6 months?
For a 60 year old man with a 12 year old girl it should be life in prison.
Or a firing squad.
That is so far beyond disgusting I don't think they've created a word for it yet.

As you examine the history of oppressive autocrats and fascists over the last 100 years, you find that core policies and conservative vs liberal stuff is just the hook to get into power.
Once in power they blend together and all look very similar in what they do and how they run the country. That is why people still bicker over who was left vs right.
It should surprise no historian that Trump isn’t fitting in with the conservative model that his supporters claim he is. And it should surprise nobody that in most cases he is doing the opposite of what was believed to be a conservative way to rule.

You do understand that adding a group of people with a 2.2 per 100,000 homicide rate to a population with a 3.0 per 100,000 rate results in an overall homicide rate lower than the original 3.0, right? And that means that the population as a whole is safer than it was without the addition of the 2.2 group, right?
No, you don't understand. Your mental capacity is simply limited.

Correct
For authoritarians the conservative vs liberal noise is all just a smoke screen. The real issue is not, and never has been, left versus right. The real issue is absolute power in the hands of one (or a handful) vs checks and balances, limited power for any one person and individual rights for all.

Look at the discussions taking place on cable news. Before Trump in 2015 the bickering used to be policy. Left vs Right. Conservative vs Liberal. Socialism vs Capitalism, Big government vs small government.
Now Cable news is bickering over whether or not armed masked Troops on the street is justified. Executing people in boats in the Caribbean is cool. Whether it is OK for Trump to use the DOJ as his retribution agency. If Elon Musk can dismantle our Federal Government. Should our military be used in citizens?
It almost seems comical to have any left vs right policy discussions these days because it is meaningless. It is entirely irrelevant to our times.

1) seal the border
2) reduce crime
3) no biological men in women's sports
Trump ran on those issues and continues to hammer them. Why not? He won. If you read his posts on social media without your bias, he constantly mentions two of three.
The dems do not have an answer. Because they are tricky issues. Want to appear pro-crime? Allow more undocumented across the border? Have your daughter break down in tears because she trained her butt off and missed the podium?
Well...what are your answers? That's an invitation to share them in the spirit of debate.
Instead of stepping on these landmines, the dems want to make this about "healthcare." It seems noble on its face, but there are obvious problems if you scrutinize the premise "We need to fund healthcare for those without insurance." more closely. Here are some objections:
1) No one is denied healthcare in the US. If you don't have insurance, you will not be turned away at an emergency room.
2) Health insurance is not necessarily correlated with better health outcomes. Let's reason loosely here. The US may have millions who are underinsured, but it also has more people who are insured than any other nation. Do those people have better health outcomes than countries with what we term "socialized" healthcare? I would argue no...Americans lead an unhealthy, mostly sedentary lifestyle. Health insurance cannot fix that.
3) All policies require tradeoffs. If, for example, we take a hardline stance against individuals who were born with an "XY" chromosome competing against those born with "XX" chromosomes, it *will* do damage to those individuals psyches. Most Americans, regrettably, dismiss that concern, shifting the goalposts to risk of injury and loss of glory for their loved ones. Those are legitimate concerns, but the point I was trying to make was: there is a tradeoff. Here, the tradeoff is over taxes. Americans hate high taxss, almost as much as we love endless, expensive wars. The TEA party mindset (which is more of the problem than Trump) has spoken.
The general response so far has been to attack Trump. That worked brilliantly in the 2022 midterms. Now, it doesn't look like much of a winning strategy. I've never seen a President who loved to he hated more than Trump.

Why did the MAGA Republicans and Trump—who have total control of all three branches of the federal government—make the unilateral decision to shutdown the government and harm all Americans? Why do they hate regular Americans, apple pie, puppies, and the American Flag so much?
Even Trump agrees that responsibility for a federal government shutdown lies with the POTUS….

few want the border sealed. "Americans’ views of immigration have swung drastically upward in the past year, with a new poll showing record-high support for immigration amid President Donald Trump’s controversial mass deportation campaign."
trans issues are a needle in a giant haystack. Trump is correct to want boys out of girls sports, but upending the entire global economic system and threatening our republic to get those 100 boys out...seems like a bit of overkill, don'tit? Maybe he is using a tiny issue to manipulate you?
crime in US cities has fallen 80%+ in a generation under Dem leadership and only people in the sticks think US cities are all that dangerous. With a few exceptions.
Trump leads you idiots around like you are children, too dumb to know anything for yourself. And you are only too glad to
