Cole just popped a 31×× as a tempo run to win a local 750 person race
Thoughts and prayers when he eventually does break and blames it on nutrition. A 2:16 debut is absolutely quality but training like a melt doesn’t deserve any kudos especially with the impact it’ll have on others thinking they can emulate it.
I was absolutely maxed, redlined and he was jogging back past me on his CD.
Hardly training like a melt - just putting in solid work & reaping the rewards. Massive mileage is fine for Ran to Japan but not our Cole it would seem.
Looks like double standards to me.
I can’t see where I’ve mentioned RTJ to suggest double standards but respectfully, if you think going from stress fractures and an ED to 220km weeks within 9 months is anything but solid work, I can’t have a conversation with you about training.

every. single. picture fordyruns uses for a thumbnail is him pointing at the camera and smiling. or then he'll really mix it up and hold up 5 fingers if he has 5 genius tips to give you on how not to sh*t your pants during a 10K.
I do wish he would do the shocker while smiling genially into the camera lens for one of this TOP 3 TIPS TO NOT GET PREGNANT DURING A 5K video
Fordys next video will be 5 top tips on walking it in
He was meant to run 20 miles at "goal pace" at London but just walked it in all the way. He's saving himself for a big race he has in 2028
Barraclough came 3rd globally in the Wings for Life World Run yesterday. Over 68k run, then does another 10k today. Huge kudos to him, but guy is nuts. Looking forward to the video.

Just a shake out for the Copenhagen Marathon this coming Sunday!
Of course some people will have gone off far too fast and blown up, Ben chasing an absurd time based on what I'd seen, and philly I'm guessing going with the faster pacing pack to avoid running solo. This happens in every marathon. It doesn't mean that heat wasn't a factor for many good runners. These things are not mutually exclusive.
Felton keeps setting goals he hasn't earned, his fastest legal marathon was 2:24:59, he failed his aiming for 2:22:xx build (which, no shame per se, I can't do a 2:22 marathon) but you haven't earned a 2:20 or 2:18 goal if you haven't hit your 2:22 one yet, yafeel?
I think Phily Bowden has a 2:23 (maybe even a 2:20) in her, in a paced race, but I think she was also punching above her weight class trying to hit qual times in a race she has to have known she'd be running as a time trial, or soloing for large portions of it.
you are sadly deluded. Philly cant even run 70mins for the half. she has no hope in hell of getting near 2:23. 2:25 in Berlin was her absolute max on a perfect day with hand-held pacemaking (London is also 90secs~ slower than Berlin)
where are both of there post race vids???? no doubt creating some corny excuses for there deluded targets and inevitable blow ups
What have you heard about Chris Barnes. Well specifically it being well known by Sportsshoes?
It seems like they've very quickly dispensed of him and parked Podium for now
whats the story with Chris Barnes? I saw the post saying he had been banned by UK Athletics for being a sexual predator or something? Not sure how they can ban someone from being a race director, seems very strange but must be some juicy evidence to release it publically
Yeah he's legitimately one of the worst out there.
Put out a video about how Aflie had beaten Phil Sesseman in some random offseason 3k so therefore Alfie should be able to make a living from running? Then doubled down in the comments claiming to know nothing about the sport or some nonsense.
Also hilarious his profile is set up to suggest he's a dentist, but he's a dental hygenist.
Pro tip for influencers trying to fluff up your IRL career, dont lie about jobs that have professional registers involved because it takes 10 seconds to know you're lying.
No different from physios of running who claim to be doctors.

Yes, Chris is a coach under UKA qualifications so can be held upon a hearing and banned/suspended.
Heard a few accounts that it had been going on for 6/7 years and finally caught up with him. Sportsshoes have parked Podium for the time being which is shame for the racing scene because it benefitted a lot of sub elite runners in the UK. Hopefully Sportsshoes either sell it to someone else or rebrand it and continue putting on events.
Did I say she could do it in London? Did I not, quite specifically, say that she was wrongheaded to aim for the times she were whilst running London, being both a slower course and a race without a pacer, and a field where she wouldn't have a pack? Did I not equate those goals with the equally wrongheaded goals that Felton sets, without having the results to back those up?
I think it's wildly more deluded to think that someone with access to good coaching and the opportunity to train borderline full time couldn't take 2 minutes off their PB in a paced race, over the full span of their career.

KING COLE
Concerning the race vids, Phily is doing an event tomorrow where she does the grand reveal. I am not sure about Ben.
Regarding Phily, she is very good! Last year she was the 3rd fastest woman in the UK over the marathon, and she ran a about 1 min under the Olympic standard. I just checked, apparently the qualification standard does not need to be run in a women's only event.
Her videos are annoying, but I think people let this cloud their judgement of her ability.
I like Cole and I'm not a big fan of Matt Fox, but it's funny that after the Chicago Marathon, many people on this forum were calling for Matt Fox to be disqualified because he received assistance from outside the marathon. A bit hypocritical, isn't it?

Im not who this is aimed at but I’m ok with it. He actually ended up running faster than a number of runners in the elite field who would have had bottles throughout. He’ll probably be in the elite field for every marathon entered from now on.
Off topic, Ben Parkes London vid out. As another user suggested, it was the time on feet at the expo that put paid to his race. Also, stopped to kiss his gf Sarah twice to send that one user who said they’d split up home devastated. Also, crying throughout the race and filming - what’s that all about? I’d understand it if it was your first marathon and you were overwhelmed but he must do like 10 a year and has done London and other big city races multiple times.
Continuing the new feature on this sub which I will sporadically post over the next few weeks/months. Lots of big match ups of 32 (or maybe 16 if I can’t think of 32) ‘influencers’.
*****Earlier matches on previous pages. Will collate the first round results when all matches played to see who has made the next round (so still time to vote) ******
Culminating in the crowning of our favourite YouTuber. We like to mock and laugh at many on here but who do we actually like? Who escapes our ire and gets to be crowned champion. Vote either up or down depending on your choice.
Round 1 - match 3/16. Feel free to comment as to why you came to this judgement.

It's funny how long it takes to get these videos out when things don't go to plan.
Hit a PB and the narrative is straightforward. Have a bad race and you need a PR consultant to tell you how to edit your video.
