Mimi seems to turn off the Garmin to make her pace seem better than it is. She is pretty much 20% slower than Sandy based on the splits I have been providing. That percentage slower has been more or less steady. Today that percentage slower is much greater. So, when Mimi starts going much slower than 20% of Sandy something might be up.

If one of the vehicles broke down I don't see why Mimi would have to stop as well. They have other cars to continue the journey while she runs. The vehicle being repaired could catch up later. ... I thought their vehicles were rented. Maybe they were loaned to them by well wishers?

The Garmin results haven't matched up well with Strava since she started using the new tracker. At first I thought it was within the margin of error but it seems to me they have diverged more and more as the run progresses.

It could be that she is turning the Suuntos off more often now. Her Strava times don't have much value, unlike Sandy's.
