The hearings have been amazingly effective. That is the the House Select Committee. They don't have any hearings scheduled at the moment but called Gingrich to testify and issued that order just last week and more hearings are expected. Their important work is ongoing.

The hearings, according to Fat Hurts, were to resume in Sept. I checked the schedule for the entire month and nothing. Joy Reid used to have like 10 articles just on the Hearings on her website "The Reid Out." Those have all gone away. Not one story about the Jan. 6 hearings. It just seems that no one cares about the "insurrection" and the story fell off the face of the Earth.

Congress broke for the summer like they always do. The Jan. 6 committee promised Howmore hearings in September at that time, but it looks like they may have been pushed back to October as they are gathering more evidence and have more people who have testified. How can they "gather more evidence" if they broke for the summer like they always do? They kept proclaiming that the Jan. 6 "insurrection" was the greatest threat to American democracy ever ... yet they still break for summer?!? If it is so important they should be conducting these hearings 24/7 or maybe it wasn't a threat to our democracy? Were the prosecutors in the Nuremburg trials "breaking for lunch" as they were bringing Nazi war criminals to justice?
