My the Dancan System works effectively and fast enough ... 😃😎🧙♂️
Easy steady run again @ 6:49 min/ km, 70 min . Easy done and dusted. The extra 10-20 min added after 60 min gives a raised production of mitochondria and enzymes for the energy process. It's good sometimes to then run 70- 80 min easy steady . Highest heartrate 146 . Now I'm worth a pan pizza and a glass of tasty Italian red wine " Mona Lisa " , yummy! 😃🍷
And right now finished 20 x 400m thrreshold interval @ 2:05;min ( 5:13 min / km). Easy walkrest back to 120 bpm . Highest heartrate 164 . 🧙♂️
So you're in about 27 minute shape for 5k and the goal is sub 20?
No, more like just sub 25 min at the moment. Will see if I can run a treadmill TT 5 k @ 25 min next week .When I was at my prime as elite runner I did 10 k on the treadmill in 28:38 min right before I won the Gothenburg Sylvestre race 10,55 km 1988. 🧙♂️
I'm in! Accidentally clicked on this thread rather than the NSM thread as I wasn't paying attention and am greatly amused. Especially since Jan was so vocal about his training over on the big thread ha ha
I'm pretty easily found to claim the monies. Put me down for £250/£125 just for my own entertainment to see the "magic" happen with a good cause at the end of it, hopefully Jan has a charity in mind.
Can't see why he would say no as he's going to do this anyway and a full year seems reasonable. Would be very impressive to even get close to running sub 20 at his age and genuinely, good luck. Hope he does it.

Has only been a couple of weeks serious Dancan training yet. Improvement comes fast now . Even now I see improvement in just few weeks . Of course real magic don't exist, but when a runner takes on the Dancan system the fast improvement seems to be just magical. 🧙♂️
