What a run for Kevin! Dude had a real solid career and what a way to cap it off in a tough race
Damn. If 5-time All-American and MIAC record holder is only solid, I can’t fathom what you think is good. PBing in a distance race at Nationals is hard. Only seven guys did today. His coach had him dialed into the right level.
And the guy ran 9:44 in high school. That’s an impressive progression in spite of his prior coaching.
A 3rd and 4th is better than we’ve seen from the Oles in decades. The coaching change is already paying dividends. Bet Power is crying somewhere about his replacements doing what he couldn’t as he realizes how quickly he’ll be forgotten.

Also ranks top 20 All-time in D3. Kinda feel like he was overshadowed because people would rather talk about his coach than his accomplishments. From not making the Ole XC at Nationals as a freshman to racing at 3 XC championships and 4 track championships. Hopefully he’ll add another All-American honor and the real debate can be where he stands in Ole history. Likely behind some of Phil’s 1500 guys but certainly rivaling the best that Power (now Kipnick) coached.
