Got a lotta downvotes wow. Just saying that I watch a lot of T&F and listen to every LRC podcast and have never heard of her.
Then your ignorance is showing. I remember her and Willis/Whittaker having a great race for medals at World U20. How come you know who they are? She has made the jump that they havent yet - guess she should have gone to the NCAA.
I watch a lot of track but not U20 events other than NCAA finals, maybe that explains it. Weird last sentence, you're projecting something odd here.
USA’s is consistently one of the most exciting meets in the world, because it is essentially all or nothing. The stakes are very high so all the races are exciting. I don’t want to ruin that so Josh Hoey can win the Diamond League.
No I get that. I’m just thinking peaking for September.. I do agree the USA trials are far more exciting and the stakes are higher than here in the UK. Just quite a few of your athletes look a bit spent.
And some will look and perform even worse at the global championship if experience holds.
Hot take, no Americans will win Gold at Worlds. They all “peaked” in the Olympics and are now on the down cycle

Wasn’t werro the national wild card? Is there something she doesn’t get because of that?
Werro as the national wild card will receive the full prize money, but she will not receive the Diamond Trophy or be crowned the DL Champion. The DL Champion and Trophy go to the athlete who placed 2nd.

There's obviously no guarantees but Brazier or Cooper can not be discounted in the 800. On the flip side, I would also not be surprised if Cooper is out in the first round with something like a 1:51, it's been a loooong season.
Men's 100? Also hard to predict but crazier things have happened.

Crouser has an injury that has kept him out all season. I forgot about TDW. I do not know enough of long distance to know if Hocker and Fisher are contenders.
Benjamin is a definite contender in the M400MH. Thanks for reminding me.

Your inclusion of Grant Fisher as a "gold medal contender" invalidates anything else you say.

Werro as the national wild card will receive the full prize money, but she will not receive the Diamond Trophy or be crowned the DL Champion. The DL Champion and Trophy go to the athlete who placed 2nd.
The person who misses out is Valentina Rosamilia, who was 4th at Swiss nationals, and thus would have gotten a wild card if Werro had been considered Diamond League champion (she has a high enough world ranking to go).
