I think realistically the top-3 in the final will come from amongst the top 3 in each heat: Hocker, Wolfe, Teare, Kincaid, Nur, Fisher. Gonna be a battle.
Am I missing something or do we have some real idiots scheduled the events? Mens 200m 1st round, EVERYONE who was not a DNS or DQ qualified for the next round, except 2 guys. In the women’s 200m, every woman who was on the starting line from every heat qualified for the next round. What is the point of making the athletes run an extra pointless round and risk injury? Am I missing something here or is it just some boardroom exec wanting TV ratings?

It does seem that going through the heats would help to balance semis and give the top dudes the best lanes. Not sure that’s worth running the extra round though
