Oles 3rd. Looked like they were really pushing while La Crosse and Whitewater were having conversations while running. Seems like they’ll be able to finish top 20 though. A nice race for the Carls to edge the Johnnies.
Mo and Gabe are running at Nats for sure. If Carthage gets in we’ll see Roy & Calvin join the party.
I think Mo will win by ten seconds and Power will cry in a corner somewhere. Anyone see the heated discussion post race between Power and Nick? Hope they leave that guy in Indiana. Enough is enough.

I talked to Nick after the race a little. He seemed like he was in a pretty good mood. Mo pretty much stuck to the plan, didn’t overexert himself and took the win if it was available.
I do suspect that Ausgburg trolls Power on their socials a bit and Power may or may not have claimed Mo could only sit & kick or something before Mo pretty much lead from the gun in conference 10k last spring.
Might be some jealousy that Mo pretty much just fell in Nick’s lap and Power doesn’t think he’s earned it, but Nick definitely has Mo racing way better and smarter now than he was his first year and a half so he deserves some credit. Hopefully, they can get Mo to produce the times he should be capable of on the track this spring. Might be easier with Ramadan kind of right between indoor/outdoor seasons.
I saw them talking. They were laughing and seemed to have a very normal talk. There may be jealousy on Power's part, but there is a lot more jealousy from everyone on this thread. Let's hope the track thread sticks to talking about performances and not just the smelly Oles and their stupid coach.
If Mo Bati speaks, I listen. If Mo Bati thinks, I agree. If Mo Bati has 1,000,000 fans, I am one of them. If Mo Bati has 100 fans, I am still one of them. If Mo Bati has 1 fan, I am that fan. If Mo Bati has no fans, I am dead.
Can we start talking about how "Pod Christmas" is the best Christmas playlist ever created? Never, and I mean never, has a playlist captured the true spirit of Christmas ever before. Verily, the good Lord came down and bestowed Lars "Bones" Ripley with The Word of God and he spoke of the power of "Pod Christmas" to the great masses. Bones shall inherit the Earth for his great contribution to the mortal plain, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
Rumors of Ian Curtis doing a gap year training at altitude in Europe have surfaced. He is very excited to use science to approach training and has consulted several books. Wild to think about not having that for four years of his career. Definitely not what Phil promised him.
His likely destination for a grad school is in Duluth.
Lars putting in some work right now. Scholastica has shown they can greatly improve transfers. I don't think Curtis has the leg speed Wallin had, but he could be a capable 1200 leg. Lars is much faster though, so not sure if he could be a DMR leg unless Lars decides to go all in on the 5000m and try to challenge Bati.
Alumni have been talking about whether the current success is worth the barrage of negative publicity on this forum and others. I and several others have drafted a letter to the search committee hiring the new athletic director and also the interim athletic director calling for a change. We need someone in charge who embraces team traditions, understands our history, treats athletes with respect and kindness, and values the whole person not just the end result. The fact that he is more invested in acquiescing to the women's staff than preserving team traditions further demonstrates his lack of commitment to our proud history. He is so much more interested in his public image than anything regarding the team. Add in the constant drama with other coaches (I don't think a single MIAC coach can stand him) and it is time for a change. Phil did none of these things and was way more successful.

"My sources tell me" "Rumor has it" "The Alumni have been saying"
The only thing non Oles like you should write to the Olaf athletic director about is how moronic they are for leading the charge on kicking St Thomas out of the MIAC. Surely they would've been better than 10th & 11th in the North Region, apparently the best the non St Olaf MIAC can offer these days
Any chance Pete wants to come back to coaching D3? Imagine what he could do with the Ole squad!
Did he ever have much success with the team after the recruits he inherited? Aside from Sathre Pete reigned over 30 years of mediocrity from by far the biggest MIAC school.
