it's broadly true that the R party is becoming the party of the blue collar worker and the Ds are becoming the party of the college educated.
This is not really debatable, from what I understand. The ground is shifting under our feet.
The thing is, there are two issues:
1/ Rs continue to be the party of 'give rich people more money, take health care away from poor people
but
2/ Rs have become the fighters against snooty coastal elitist culture stuff. For many voters, they care more about this stuff than the 'make rich people richer' thing. And most people are happy with their health care anyway.
Please read and stop pushing that falsehood.
Biden beat Trump by a wide margin with people who earn less than $50,000 per year. Trump beat Biden by a wide margin with people who earn more than $100,000 per year.
Trumps sweet spot was income levels between 100k and 200k. Over 200k, the vote is evenly split. agip is also correct to point out education accounts for wide gaps in the demographics. Bachelor degrees favored Biden 51-47 and post grad 62-37. High school or less was 54-48 Trump. White men without college degrees were 70-28 Trump.
Look around, at the $5 gas and the hobos pooping in our parks, at the constantly shifting vaccine/mask goalposts and the cat ladies/public school teachers determined to inject CRT race hustling into your kids’ cerebellums. Take a stroll to the grocery store and check out how 14% inflation is driving up the cost to feed you and your family.
Look at ALL the unvaxxed illegal immigrants flooding your communities.
You did that, non-dead Biden voters!
You.
This is your failure.
SDOJending in the DNC Brown Shirts to rough up your political opponents before an election is some third world dystopian sh*t.
People seem to be voting with their feet it seems....
You are a broken record and this has nothing to do with the topic at hand, which is the execution of a warrant to retrieve classified government documents from Trump's private residence. Don't we already have Biden thread?
None of the people defending Trump have explained why he didn't just turn over the classified documents as required by law - or why he even took them to Mar-a-Lago in the first place. This whole mess could have been avoided.
It's almost as if Trump thought the documents might contain something that might be incriminating to him.
10:1 this is not just about sloppiness and casual disregard of the rules by Trump. No, he took these documents for a reason. Let’s see what they contain.
They're probably just all the Presidential Daily Briefings he didn't have time to read while he was President.
I’m hoping his hubris will have resulted in him not destroying the evidence. He was honestly shocked they searched his residence. Now he’s using it to his political advantage, but he was surprised. In the end, it’s always hubris that brings down the powerful.
If they came up empty, it's the end for the DOJ vs Trump. They only get one shot and I hope they took a solid one. I'm not sure this was the move to make.
you better email them quick i'm sure they haven't thought of this
For every 1 trump-obsessed military man or policeman, there are likely 5 patriotic moderates that may agree with some of his policies but do not want to destroy America. Especially given such a weak story from the Trumpers.
There will never be a civil war. America is built on patriotic individuals that uphold the law of the land, because that is how it should be.
Why are all you libs so angry about trump? He built that big beautiful wall and Mexico paid for it. He defeated ISIS. He never cheated at golf. The Pee Tapes are fake news. He told less than 100,000 public lies in the past six years. He is going to release his tax returns as soon as the IRS completes their decades long audit. He single handedly keeps McDonald's and Depends in business. No one ever proved for certain that he is a Russian agent. He is the "least racist person who ever lived." His doctors love looking at his body which is the healthiest one they have ever seen.
You understand this is mostly depression. Being under 30 and unable to afford a house or a family while your Republican landlord puts the rent up again and your Republican boss treats you like $hit, tends to give you that.
You just admitted your part of the problem. If your so called Republican landlord or Republican boss mistreats you develop and buy a house, if you feel mistreated at work promote. All your post says to me is free hand out please because I am too lazy to work hard for desirable things in life. Do you go on vacation and complain about why people in there 50's or 60's have nice things. Let me guess everyone you see that drives a Rolls Royce or has a nice house is a jerk because they have nice things and you don't. I got screwed up in the military a few years back I could have tossed in the towel and laid around and blamed my misfortune on everyone else but guess what I realized nobody wanted to hear my bs so I worked hard promoted at work and bought a house. I went bankrupt too making well over six figures. Your sob story is the definition of a failure and the problematic issue that myself and anyone who works hard are stuck paying for with our tax dollars. You will find most Democrats are money laundering scum because the democratic party is full of lawyers. The Republican party is more of the business type that was either born into wealth or did in through business!
Inflation in the housing and rental market has been going on for years. Republicans only notice when it affects gas prices. Everything is getting more expensive except wages.
The way I see it is right wingers will happily accept rising rents because that's their income, but rising wages (other people's income) that's a big no no. What they demand from you when they are landlords is inflation-linked rent rises, but refuse inflation-linked wage rises when they have their businessman hat on.
Apparently increasing wages is inflationary and a handout but increasing rents and profits is just economics. Doesn't add up to me.

I agree regarding the education part to a large extent, but the blue collar part is horse poop.

It's almost as if Trump thought the documents might contain something that might be incriminating to him.
Which "law" requires him to do this?
If Trump thought the documents were incriminating he would have just destroyed them like Hillary did...
Use some common sense ffs.
What??? Do you think if a President has highly classified and sensitive documents pertaining to national security they don't need to turn them over to the incoming administration? Is it ok to just box them up and keep them in a spare bedroom at the residence - and then refuse to return them?

Great review ! But you are forgetting the wonderful Trumpcare and Infrastructure programs that he started !
"(E)very President takes office knowing that he will be subject to the same laws as all other citizens upon leaving office. This is a feature of our democratic republic, not a bug," the opinion said.

The end for the DOJ? No matter what happens with the possibly classified documents, it’s very likely Trump is going to be indicted for 1/6.
And now we have Trumperists calling for civil war. See link below. This is what I predicted in the early hours of this thread, yet I was mocked unmercifully for my prescience.
The possibility of there being a civil is ridiculous. It would be the Patriots on one side and the police, the National Guard and possibly the military on the other. Where would the Patriots gather, which direction would they march and what would their goal be? They would immediately be encircled so how would they obtain food and water. If they actually started shooting at the other side they would receive deadly fire. Will they have medics, a supply of morphine and M.A.S.H units for amputations and surgery?
Its a big jump from displaying a flag from the back of a truck to going to war for Trump.
No weaker than your analysis. Fortunately we live in a republic constructed in such a way where differences of philosophy can be determined at the polls. I would imagine a good portion of Biden voters at the last election got less than what was expected. And if the state voters want lower quality living standards for some unachievable social goal that will remain, and their standard will unlikely be imposed on those that disagree.
What does any of this nonsense have to do with whether or not Trump was in possession of government documents in violation of the law? Is he or isn’t he? Well, we will soon find out. If he was, he broke the law and he can be charged, convicted and sentenced. It matters not if others also broke the law. Wrongdoing by others is not a legal defense.
What about Hillary’s bleach bit of her phone? You are just two faced about the subject.
Anyway, we get the politicians we deserve. I don’t see Biden as any more a villain than Trump, or Pelosi and McConnell for that matter. We elected politicians that sole motivation to stay in power. A political class and their bureaucrats that mask real problems with debt and cheap money. Unfortunately for the masses that will turned upside down when the revolving door of nonsense is finally comes unhinged.

According to Trump, Hillary took a hammer to her phone.
Trump’s actions during 1/6 are in in no way nonsense.
