The km by km splits are telling. At 35k, Tola was running 2:43 per km pace. As a US runner we often don’t think minute/km pace but think of it this way - two and a half laps in 2:43 is just about 65 seconds per 400m. It was all over at that point. Looking forward to TV coverage but with our luck they will break for commercials at 35k
A subscription to Peacock plus the extra 5 bucks for no commercials (Plus) is pretty sweet. No commercials during the Women’s 10K or Men’s marathon. I’m just your average running fan.
Hate to be that guy, but I wonder how it would've played out with Kipchoge there. Imagine seeing two guys battling each other running 27:xx the last 10k.
I think it's time to ask what is up with Kamworor? We've always thought he had exceptional talent but he's been underperforming in races where he should be a real contender. He's supposed to be made for championship races and he's getting taken down by Cam Levins in 2:07. Did that accident effectively finish him as contender? I keep waiting for a big performance from him but it never comes and it's sad to see.
His best event appears to be somewhere between a track 10,000m and the marathon.
I'm actually quite concerned that there are 4 people on this planet who thought "oh, I think it's a good idea to push a peanut up Pikes Peak with my nose!"

Agreed. Commentators were decent as well - they give a lot more split info than the regular broadcast and are very enthusiastic. I was so angry at the commercial in the 10K yesterday that I paid the $5 for Peacock. Well worth it. No reason to complain anymore. Anyone can afford $5.
