Oof. You're going to be sorely disappointed.
Enjoy prison I guess.

The policies regarding if and when I can go outside for a run, or take a drive in my car to explore the countryside, or see my family who doesn't live in my household have been peachy. Neither myself nor my family caught covid, we all got vaccinated, and we're doing everything we could do before now.
We're not arguing whether policies that may or may not have lead to excess covid deaths. We're arguing about being OUTSIDE or any length away from your home BY YOURSELF, which NZ and Australia are restricting despite zero evidence that covid spreads in those manners. I mean, common sense man. Are you truly in support of limited outdoor time?
You are wrong. Delta spreads through aerosol transmission. Infection can occur wherever we encounter people - which includes outdoors. People who are outside at some point will be near others - they don't live in the bush.
We also accept restrictions for a few weeks as a necessary price for saving lives - which only the self-indulgent and narcissistic are opposed to.
Well at least you’ve finally admitted that you just don’t know what you’re talking about

That you think that shows how really stupid you are.

I will enjoy going about normal life, having also been vaccinated. You, on the other hand, can enjoy having Covid run through your community.
Just another example of what we - meaning everybody - are up against with this variant of Covid.
The deflection on this thread is so obvious. So many of you live in countries where Covid has ripped through your communities - as it has with the US, with its 650,000 deaths - so to cover for your own failures you have to try to stigmatize a small nation that has had only 26. Protecting the public from an unrelenting disease is not a "police state" - unless you are indifferent to the loss of life of your fellow countrymen. As I guess many of you creeps are.

The NZ approach is doomed to failure in the long run. Hiding from a virus has never worked and won't work now.
Your politicians will be loathe to admit their errors and keep draconian measures in place far, far longer than you realize now.

“Protecting the public from an unrelenting disease is not a "police state"
He will continue to say in the year 2022 when New Zealand is still locking down for the inevitable next covid variant.

But a thread that relentlessly attacks a nation of 5 million with only 26 deaths is not "unhinged"? You would know about being unhinged. My fan who just can't stay away. A gift that keeps on giving.

I guess you would have welcomed the 1918 flu as well - since you can't "hide from a virus".
Keeping it out of the country till our population has been vaccinated seems to be preferable to your embracing it.

In 2022 I will be saying we are pretty much enjoying normal life again with a vaccinated population. How will it be in your land that leads the world's deaths and where you are ideologically divided on masks and vaccinations?
New Zealand extends “temporary” lockdown two more weeks.

lololololololol, you will 100% still be masking 2022. Also most of us have been living normal life since about May of 2021, so it's coolio here for us. I'm vaccinated, my family is vaccinated, and I don't care if people decide they don't want it and they catch it. So maybe I don't 'care about my fellow countrymen' in that regard but people make their own beds.
And masks outside continue to be dumb and anti-science no matter how many times you try to pretend otherwise. And being outside of your 5km bubble completely alone does not spread a virus, believe it or not.

The lockdown is not being extended in NZ; it is being extended - for two weeks - in Auckland only, where the outbreak of Delta is centred. Read the article. The lockdown is now being reduced for the rest of the country.
It may be perplexing to one of your intellectual level, but public health measures are applied in measure to deal with the nature of the crisis faced - they are not a lease with a fixed term. NZ will likely eliminate Delta while it vaccinates its population, whereas so many of you will have to live - and die - with it in your communities. And still resist vaccination.

You think people cannot spread the virus outside their 5k bubble if they are alone (alone where? the Mojave desert?) You are as thick as a plank. If people did not infect those outside their homes it would never have spread. Your indifference also to the fate of others in your community also speaks volumes. But that is what a narcissistic culture produces.

I just need to stop responding to you, but I have to do it one last time to make sure everyone in the back sees your latest gem. The bolded is correct. I do not think this virus can spread if someone is alone, even outside of their bubble. The fact that you do is really something else. Also, not sure why you are confused about where. Is it that hard to go outside and be alone in NZ?
Rules are I have to walk down a deserted street in Sydney wearing a mask because suburbs on the other side of Sydney have a lot of cases. I feel like Courtney Dauwalter when she talks about hearing an orchestra during long ultras when shes a bit delirious, except I'm hearing circus music and seeing clowns everywhere.
Luckily we are rapidly approaching our vaccination targets. Will be interesting to see if the government sticks to their end of the bargain and does away with the nonsensical rules...

I am able to go to the office, to customers for work etc.
I usually run alone, without a mask, as it is exempt for strenuous activity...and if a copper were to argue the toss, I'll invite him to drag his fat arse next to me for a few 100m, and then decide if it is strenuous enough.
So, it doesn't really affect me.
However, I have to say, the circus like rules are there because we have real clowns in the community. Last week, 5 guys (sorry, clowns), from Sydney were found in rural NSW (against rules). They actually had tested positive too, exactly why you are prevented from travelling around. They were directed back to Sydney and ordered to self isolate. Yesterday, all 5 of them were found sitting around a makeshift table on the sidewalk outside their home, and fined $5K each.
We should do away with the circus rules, and just put the guys in a solitary confinement cell for 14 days, that should change behaviour. Then you guys can have a go a 'police state'. We are far too soft on the people making it hard for others, rather than too harsh in lockdown.
We have a disused prison in Parramatta, that could be a start. There are others.
Solitary cell, same food broth every day....watch the numbers come down and the vaccinations go up
On a positive note we are at 7M vaccination doses out of 10M target in NSW, at a rate of >800K/wk
