Jeremy Wariner had a great stride. He looked like he was floating along on the back stretch most races. So easy down the home stretch.

Paul Ereng
Peter Snell, as discussed on the other thread. Amazing....
i agree with most of the posts here, but that makes me think it's harder to ask the question:
who are examples of runners who don't have nice looking strides?
Women: Jessica Hull!!!

That's actually very easy. Too many examples to list.
Probably get banned if I say a name but a particular blond bowerman babe comes to mind for rough form.
Mary Decker at her peak. Poetry in motion.

Go watch the videos of his 10,000m and 5,000m records, his stride is absolute perfection
Yep, that day it looked like he was flying on the track, so elegant and strong at the same time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNf6acRqHp8Anyone remember Edwin Moses?
Jessica Hull needs to work on her start. She has the wrong arm forward.
If you slow down the video you can see that this causes her to take her first step (a half step) backwards.
Did I miss anyone mentioning Coe?
John Walker
Genzebe Dibaba,
Letesenbet Gidey
Agreed... Coe was great.
Henry Carr, 1964 OG 200 champ. His running was once described as "like pouring molasses on a dance floor."
Some years later, when the youthful Henry Rono first appeared internationally, some people watched him running in training and said, "World record."
Some final torchbearers in the Olympics have had beautiful strides. The final torchbearer in the Melbourne 1956 Olympics--Ron Clarke--not so much.
It's no distance runner - their stride isn't long enough. It is Kipketer.
Whatever happened to Lukas btw?
Also I vote for Molly Huddles husband- Kurt Benninger. Used to see him run at ND and the dude had a kick like a MF. Of course he should get all his wins against Drug Cheat Martin Fagan. Also I vote for Paula Radcliffe with the Head bob, it worked.
Ran with Rudy very briefly in high school. He was a thing of beauty to watch, mostly from afar...
Dick Beardsley and Frank Shorter both had really great and efficient strides. The '82 Boston race is a study in contrasts, with Beardsley's more relaxed form against Salazar's less controlled but stronger style.
