The Roc
"soke and wet"? huh???
The experssion he was looking for was "I thought Wariner was 150 lbs soaking wet
This is intended to insinuate that Wariner is, at the heaviest you could imagine him being, only 150 lbs at present time. I believe that "soke and wet" stemmed from a lack of understanding of English idiom and what exactly the phrase in question is supposed to mean.
Now as far as the whole Wariner debate goes, He may knock on the 43 second mark. Maybe. I don't believe he will break it. Now a 1:40 800m? Not a chance in hell, he is not a middle distance runner. Trying to get Wariner to run a fast 800 is like trying to weld a Snocone to a sunfish- it's pointless, serves no practical purpose, and would probably be better off left alone. The 400 is his thing. Daydreaming about him moving up is a nice thought, but I think it is also astonishingly obvious that it will not happen.

What would you rather see?
He got the potential to break both, but he can only choose one.
1. Break MJ's 400m WR and possibly sub-43, to do this he needs more muscles, and will start bulking up, there's no way he can run sub-1.40.
2. Run 800m sub-1.40, he decides not to bulk up and keep the same size.
I rather see a 1.39.99 than 42.99, what do you guys think?
He can't start running the 800 until he comes out of the closet. Get a life.
a few comments...
wanier is prolly a bit more than 150, but prolly not 165...
MJ is not 6-1..hes 5-11 and change on a good day...
20 lbs of muscle can make some ppl faster (myself for example) but not wariner..10 might be good tho...
warnier PR of 20.41 in the 200m came from HIGH SCHOOL!!!
regionals his senior year..when he was running it week after week...
as an aside..after HS he ran a leg on a junior 4x100m relay that broke 40, and was on BUs squad 2 years ago that ran 39.5...
he has some wheels..
right now he can run 20.25 i would imagine...if you can go out in 20.9 you can run 20.3 in a 200m...
I dont see him ever breaking MJs world record, and I dont ever see him beins a super-elite 800m runner...
i do see him winning for a while, as no one can touch him right now
there is not that big of a difference in the body systems used in the 4 and 8, there just needs to be alitte distance work put into his training plan, maybe some jogging and spitting, worked for me when I moved up and I ran 2:01 and 54!
Now that we're talking about it, does anybody know Wariner's training schedule??
