If you haven’t broken 4:10 for the mile please don’t comment on this thread. Keep moving. To understand and appreciate this workout you would need to be an Elite athlete. Nico is the future of American Distance Running. Sean is developing American kids into studs. Instead of tearing him down why not congratulate him. He has a formula that is working. Nico might be his first stud but I can guarantee he won’t be his last. Nico runs 50 mpw, not60 not 70, not 80 not 90 not 100. Sean is leaving so much room for improvement for his college years and professional. Booyaa
How can you be so sure?
First of all, the coach says in multiple interviews that Nico runs 70 mpw.
As far as his formula for developing American kids into studs. I can't find any of his runners, either boys or girls, who are running beyond high school. Maybe I missed one while searching. How do you know he is leaving so much room for improvement?
When you have freshmen who's very first high school cross country races are 14:37, 15:44, 15:49 and 16:23, I'm not sure a coach can take credit for developing them. No question this team is REALLY good. I think you can congratulate him for coaching a team full of talented kids, but not sure it's his formula. Who is tearing him down? They've had 2 videos of his workouts that people are questioning if it's appropriate or too hard for high schoolers. Stop putting yourself out there and asking for attention if you don't want to be criticized.
