I am glad Ben said what should be said...Galen could barely break 4:00 in the mile in college while having all of the resources he had, turns into a world beater, in the mile thru marathon, now his coach gets banned from Usada.

Why do so many people go after Salazar like the TUEs and the L-Carnitine was such an egregious violation. Doesn't caffeine give someone a 3-4 minute advantage in a marathon, and yet pretty much all the pro runners criticizing him admit to using caffeine in energy packs to give them an advantage. I think they are all hypocrites and are just going after him because he's catholic and an authentic person and also Sara Goucher because he called her fat and had a falling out with her husband so she tries to repair her straining marriage by deflection of the real issue (her failing marriage and Adam being jealous of their once platonic relationship).

But seriously, at best Salazar was exploring what extent of cheating would be effective without getting caught. Which is basically just a weak, poser version of blatant doping. And given the way Mo drastically improved after working with AlSal, I’m inclined to believe it was more of the latter at play.

Seriously looking back at this l-carnitine episode it makes sense that NOP either were really just infusing blood or had found a way to mimick a transfusion hence the desperate need to inform LA.

USADA were obviously suspicious of Rupp and Ritz given the amount of testing they did on them. But they obviously weren't any good at finding anything.

Ben doesn't really condemn anyone with his statement. Everyone knew for years what kind of coach Salazar was, as an athlete if you choose to associate with him, then you gotta deal with being associated with him.

Farah's line of defending himself is also pretty pathetic. Obviously people are going to question you after such a bust. You are obviously associated with him and as such you have to deal with it. Dont be all "I had nothing to do with him"

So yeah I think Ben is in the right to say that. There is definitely not a giant leap when having suspicion on Rupp. He doesn't say he is doping. It is actually very factual. Rupp/Mo etc could just as well have gotten another coach and avoided all this if there are so innocent.

Again no NOP athlete ever tested positive. An athlete associated with Ben and or his group did receive a 4 year ban a couple of years ago.

NAZ has a large budget supplied by its sponsor with so so results. They are are a good running club that Bens attempts to carry a bigger swagger than on how they perform. Mediocrity is just that.
