No, on one of Rodger Bannisters record attempts someone did this, where he jogged till Bannister lapped him. That attempt was DQ. What they should've done is get some sub 60 minute Kenyan half marathon runners to come over here to pace them.
pacers won't mean dick if you can't keep up anyways, why are you knuckleheads even talking about pacers.

I was very surprised by how poorly Fisher ran considering how well the Tinman Elite team have been running recently.

Here is my advice:

2. Get the fans into it the same way the Sir Walter Mile does. Beer, everyone on the track, music, fun atmosphere, get a big crowd.
3. Have the race on a track with wider turns. One of the reasons the Stanford track is so fast is because the track has wider turns than your standard track. Tracks like that are better for distance runners.

What was the point of this? Wouldn't everyone have been better off running road races for prize money? Did anyone hit a standard that they wouldn't have anyway at the first Stanford meet or even Mt. SAC?

They can hit the USA standard now and run a marathon in April while the college track season is opening up.

That’s because they have been cherry picking college and easy Championships. They have drew hunter as a real top 10 athlete. With a real team to qualify, they won’t have anybody but Drew in top 10 in Des Moines in July and not a single other member of club with IAAF standard.
Still think the group is solid and if they can stay in sport more power to them.
