Then I encountered Paula Radcliffe prior to her first London Marathon. Paula was the woman who always finished just short of the top of the podium at the time. I convinced her her anti-doping ways were juvenile and the rest of her career is history.
My memory is a little hazy here. I can't remember who was responsible for bringing Usain Bolt on board. Paula was connected to him through healing Hans, but my college teammate was.... Matt Taylor, the founder of Tracksmith, who prior to that was Bolt's handler at Puma.

Huh? Are you sure you mean Justin Gatlin and not someone else? ?
Gatlin tested positive in 2001 for amphetamines as part of the medication he was taking for ADHD, and as such received a reduced ban (see his Wikipedia page).
The big one came in 2006 when the state of the art Carbon Isotope Ratio (CIR) test identified synthetic testosterone in his samples. So, yes a banned pharmaceutical was found in his system.

What a lame humble brag. Your 228 is 10 minutes off of being sub elite even, and therefore would generally think it is a mark attainable by someone that takes their training seriously.
When you get to a 28 flat 10k, I think you can consider whether drugs were used, but it is still generally considered possible considering guys were doing in in the 60s and 70s, long before EPO.
That said, I don't think Wejo doped for the simple fact that his marathons were terrible. I think had he been doping then he should have been scaring 210.
If one does not race a 2:10 Marathon is definitely not proof one is clean.

If I remember correctly we were on Big Macs, cheap beer and meatloaf. I think that was essentially the diet in that house one summer. It always seemed fishy to me that I could wreck wejo in a workout one week and he's one of the best distance runners in the country the next. You guys might be on to something.

Highly suspicious progression (claims the old 'got serious' explanation, as well as 'caffeine'', shouts a lot about being anti-doping, but deletes anti-doping threads and posts and has mods who ensure that the 'doping debate' here is solely between those who agree that EVERYBODY DOPES (a very extremist position in the wider athletics community) but the issue between them is whether or not doping works.
