What is a rational objection to “Obamacare”? I think most of the GOP and supporters simply can’t stand it because it was a Dem idea.
Being told you need health insurance via the individual mandate? That I understand and so it made sense to get rid of that part.
Cost too much money? It’s a government program? What is the military? What is TRICARE? I am struggling to understand the rationale behind wholesale dislike of something only because it is too expensive or because it’s part of the big bad government when the same folks give wholesale support of the military and related programs such as TRICARE.
So someone give me a serious response. If the military is beloved by the GOP why not just give everyone in the US TRICARE?
TRICARE, more specifically TRICARE Prime, is an HMO so it can be a hassle as everything is routed through your Primary Care Manager. It’s a matter of just knowing how to navigate the referral process. The cost to my family for all services to include prescriptions is $0.
I would estimate my family healthcare out of pocket cost (premiums + doc visits + prescriptions) prior to joining the Army to be around $8500 annually back in 2010.
