Why does he want to race a 10,000 in Japan? I'm glad he's healthy and racing again but seems like a strange choice when there are plenty of good road races in the US going on.

I'm pretty sure Japan doesn't need nation building help from America.

If America is falling apart, blame those who voted for DJT. How could a few million immigrants in a country built by immigrants do anything to make it fall apart? In what way is it falling apart, aside from the current presidency? Is unemployment skyrocketing? Deficits, yes, but has nothing to do with immigrants. Inequality skyrocketing? Yes, but again nothing to do with immigrants. Interest rates rising? Yes, Fed policy.

Back on topic: Japanese can feel free to be Japanese. They are doing that very politely without harming anybody, so that's a good thing IMO. OTOH, Germans are forced to deny their Germanness, and American liberals are getting close to that point.

Just because I bring up Japanese nationalistic sins of the past doesn't mean I'm pro-US nationalistic sins of the present.

US is clearly a bigger threat to the world right now than Japan, but that doesn't mean there's not a threat of Japan swinging back toward aggressive nationalism. It's not that far under the surface. Luckily for the world, Japan seems to have a much larger percentage of it population committed to pacifism than the US, but what happens when that generation ages out of politics/education?

Probably is in very good shape and wants to get the Worlds Qualifier out of the way, Many USA runners will get their Qualifier at Stanford or if they have a 10000 at PRE, both are fairly close to USATF the Trials for Worlds, It is hard to run fast Track 10000's close together so a good idea to get it out of the way, There is also the Zatopek 10000 in Australia, it usually is NOT FAST, but it has potential with the best Australian and New Zealand runners IF they compete, McSweyan, Tiernan, Zane and Jake Robertson, hopefully get some Kenyans and Ethiopian to insure a fast race.

The fastest the A Standard has EVER been for the World Championships is 27:40, The Standard has not been announced for 2019.

Immigrants that you are talking about are NOT the immigrants that built this nation. Those were people proud to become Americans. Some even refused to allow their native language (Italian, french, German, Swedish, etc) to be spoken in their household after coming up America. They built businesses. Contrast that with the entitled crowds that show up now with the attitude of "what can you do for me?" Just more people to further exhaust the welfare system, and abuse the social programs. Zero desire to assimilate. One faction even wants to be governed by their own sharia law, as opposed to the law of the land. If you're mad at a president for decreased unemployment, a GDP average that is higher than any under the previous administration, and 1 million less on government assistance, then your anger is misguided.

A little History lesson in the 1960's the majority of People in the USA wanted more diversity, Than Ted Kennedy came up with an idea in 1965 to increase diversity, he called it the Hart-Cellar/Immigration Act of 1965, the American people loved the idea of having more diversity and The American People voted over 90% in favor of it. Nowadays MOST Americans believe when you bring in Millions of Low Skilled and Uneducated people from Failed Countries, with nothing in common, It becomes a great asset to the USA, That is why you hear Diversity is our greatest strength from both Republicans and Democrats alike and rarely if ever is it refuted.

Please define millions. Too much of a good thing is, well, not so good.
