I thought individual athletes were not allowed to participate in more than 4 events in a championship meet - how is this person scoring 56 points individually and participating in relays?
Talk about Fair Play

Says who?
Like Title 9 before it, perhaps we will see the coming of Title 10........ equal money and
opportunities for transgender people.
Still wonder why the enter womens events.
Wouldn't it be a bigger statement to beat men?

And like Title IX advanced women by taking away from men, Title X will take away from women and give to the trans types. Ironically, this will take away from women's sports overall, several men's sports like track, xc, golf, etc will be taken away and eliminated. Only football, baseball and basketball will remain.
The Left will not be content until everything is distorted.

+1
This dudes times are pretty god awful, even for D3 women's standards.
There should be two categories for sports:
1. Has a Y chromosome
2. Does not have a Y chromosome
That will takes care of 99.999999% of these issues
No its not, athlon means prize or contest thlon isnt anything, not to mention it appears this person isnt confused about anything as their major isnt "undecided"

Good to see an obviously dedicated member of the Confusion Community weighing in.
We can weigh the relative pros and cons of trans competition and still maintain a level of respect. Comments like – and many others on this thread – make me ashamed of the running community. Don't be bigots, you guys. We're above that.

Why is it this type of athlete always chooses to compete as a woman? Wouldn't it be more ground breaking to compete against and beat men?
Oh, that's right, that would be harder.
Not hard to find, oh that's right, you don't want to find things that counter your world-view

Exactly. This is where all your dreams come true, unless you are a trans person. In that case, your dreams are probably going to be judged very harshly.

Women need to grow a pair and stand up to this invasion or they will be overrun by chicks with dcks. Pathetic!
I am confused as to what your message is here. Are you asserting that women ought to become transgender?
If they grow a pair, aren't they just the kind of chicks you are saying?
It's obviously unfair to have a very muscular biological male competing against women. In Division 3, everyone gets to compete and I'm sure this athlete could make it on the men's team, as is appropriate, because women cannot make that much muscle or skeletal structure naturally.

Be reasonable. 99.99999% of sports is easily divided by gender. The complicated cases are the VAST minority, but are (a) disproportionately obscured by sophomoric comments, and (b) tend to represent cases on the far extremes of normal curves.
it's impressive that the former "she" made a men's team, however, I am not sure of her history. Was she born with internal testes? And then on top of that took testosterone ? (answer to 2nd question: Yes, she did for her transition).
If so, then you took a half male, and juiced him up with T and made him more male. in the end, yes, that's hormonally a male, so not a shock she/he could compete.

Drug cheat
I ran DIII and didn't read any preceding comments on this.
College athletics are silly in a lot of ways. They should receive the bare minimum of school subsidy to survive -- unless they're really important for campus life, which is just a few sports of many. at a few schools.
This sort of thing (transgender athletes proving decisive) is, I think, going to become more common over time. The most likely outcome is that rule-makers will attempt to come up with quantitative rules for what makes someone male and someone else female. All these rules are likely to hurt someone.
I'd prefer it if we could take such things as an opportunity to our commitment to investing so much meaning and money in college athletics. Doesn't seem likely.
