Not really the press, but talking to people is interesting. I live in New England but not near Boston.
My MIL thought that a woman won the whole race after she stopped to wait for her friend to go to the bathroom. She thought Desi actually stopped with Shalane so I explained what actually happened. Apparently a lady at the grocery store had misinformed her.
My neighbor told me that the second place woman is 'just some nurse'.
It is nice that people pay attention to the race, but the details get pretty funny.
I did spot a jacket at the convenience store so asked the young woman how the conditions were. She smiled and said it was pretty brutal. I'm happy that there weren't more serious medical issues. From the TV coverage it looked like lots of amateurs were dressed pretty light.
