Yep, and manages to come 4th in the 800m and silver in the 1500. And this is an 'inferior runner' according to El Keinio simply because of his white skin. Very fair.

His times when he was a teen, and the times he recorded in his late twenties when he finally gave up his steel working job, and despite all the injuries his body had taken by then, suggest he would have been a fair bit quicker. I would guess low 1:42 and 3:29.

I'm not African. I'll go out tomorrow and try to break the world record tomorrow if that means I'll be the first since Peter Elliott to do it.

People have different levels of talent when it comes to running. Some people have lots of talent for middle and long distance running and some people don't. There are more talented middle and long distance runners per capita among a small number of tribes in East Africa than there are among the rest of the world. There are people from other parts of the world with similar talent but you're not going to find them as often as you do in East Africa.

Seb Coe is one of the great 800m runners of all time. He's better than Wilfred Bungei. Coe was more talented than Bungei, in my opinion. But there are more people with that sort of talent where Wilfred Bungei is from than where Coe is from.

What? I couldn't care less what you think actually. I was referring to El Keinio and his belief that one of the greatest runners of the 80s - Peter Elliott - was an 'inferior runner'. Elliot would have beaten Rono if he hadn't been injured, and even though he never won Olympic gold, his career as a whole is still much better than his. Such dismissive bias on the part of El Kenio is clearly racism, yet he's never called out on it.

There was no testing for EPO in the 90's, late or otherwise. If the E Africans benefitted from that, it's absolutely ridiculous to pretend that Europeans and Americans didn't equally, or to an even greater degree.

If Elliott was inferior what does that make Webb? World and Olympic Silver medalist Vs someone who ran fast in college and ran a couple of good non championships races as a senior.
