He wasn't denigrating those who don't have a degree, he was saying that if you are 7/8 of the way there (which the subject is) it is worthwhile to finish and it will pay off for most. The chip on your shoulder won't allow you to see this clearly.

Just think, you could have your job and od your SIX-FIGURE job just as well with a college degree, and if that job ever disappears (it happens to us all) you cannot deny that you have more opportunities with a degree. He didn't say the subject won't have any opportunities, just that more avenues are open to the subject with that degree, or any degree.

My question would be about the timing. Without a WC this year, wouldn't that mean pro contracts are not as good as they would be in a year when a sponsor could expect more publicity?

Have you seen this girl's snap? Good God she has a lot going for her attention wise. Shes probably dumber than a box of rocks cause all she does is snap how hard her communications homework is and parties whenever she's not home or something. but man she knows how to use the "image." And yeah if any of u guys raced her she would wreck you free unless u can run sub 11 but I doubt any of you can because if you were at that level I feel like you would know enough about the sport to not be so unnecessarily disrespectful of her .

It's always sad to see talented kids, for whatever reason, make decisions that will likely backfire on them. You can never replace the experience, life lessons, support, and camaraderie that a team provides you with. HC has been a chronic transferrer, even in high school, which unfortunately indicates either a willingness on her part, or her parents, to choose self over team. The paradox is that that selfishness (at worst) or shortsightedness (at best) almost always winds up poorly from an athletic standpoint. Just ask Lukas V or Alana H. Perhaps it will work out for her. History suggests that it probably won't.
