Any truth to the rumor Vigil severed ties with him, and why?

I noticed in Vigil's book, that there were little to no references to Porter and no pics.
I remember reading, back in the '80's, a story about him in either Runner's World or The Runner in which he had nothing but praise for Vigil. He also talked about the cinnamin rolls!!!
Thanks Average_Jim. As it turns out, I had already seen and bid on that one. I was hoping the guy with a bunch of his races on VHS would transfer them to DVD and ebay them.
i don't don't know about "severed ties" but i saw vigil speak last friday at the fargo (fargo, north dakota), marathon and he told many stories about pat porter. coach vigil did not sound like any hostile relationship existed (not that he would publicly illustrate those emotions in a public forum with complete stargers that he did not know-notice the irony). however, afterwords i asked him some questions and again he spoke of pat in a highly regarded manner. just my 2 cents worth.
Hi Average_Joe. I have been trying for quite a while now to get my races onto DVD's. I am just having trouble with the software. If you do not care about menus I think I may be able to burn some races straight onto a DVD. I also have all the Steve Jones races. I know for sure that I cannot get the 1984 Chicago Marathon onto DVD. That race is actually on Ebay now if you are interested. It is a great race. Maiun pack stays together for quite a while with Jones, Lopes, Deek, Smith, Herle, Kamau & Nzau until Jones just pulls away big time. Both Jones & Deek are interviewed afterwards.

I think we've gone over this a few hundred times but just because someone lifts weight doesn't mean he's going to be huge and bulky. "Lifting weights" doesn't mean he lifted to gain mass. You can indeed lift weight without gaining ANY (read: ZERO) mass.
This guy can convert VHS to DVD:

Treacy7879, I'll put them on DVD (simple menu) and send you a copy for free, if you'd like. Same thing for any similar unbuyable resources...I think these could be a good resource for others to see.
Leave an e-mail here and I'll write to you.
Treacy7879,
Are you still considering selling tapes /cd's of Pat's races?
If so, I would also like to be put on the list.
On the other hand, just because someone runs does not mean they will be skinny.
