Freedom must be the most abused word in the English language. The word is so often used with the notion that one person's freedom is not contingent upon another's reduction of liberty. In this particular case, the average person's access to information and economic action is pitted against the greed of a small group of wealthy corporate individuals. So, your "freedom" is basically mammon for the 1% and greater restrictions upon everyone else. Curious notion of freedom.

I meant to add your first point to my own on the previous page, so thank you! As for the second point, while I agree it's now a thing that could happen, I doubt it actually will happen. ISPs aren't really in the business of pimping out websites (but maybe they'll start!). They're much more interested in grabbing a piece of the game/movie/tv show streaming pie. Why invest and create their own service when they can just hit up Netflix for a ton of money?

I already pay for YouTube and Netflix, as well as Verizon for service. Why should Verizon get paid twice? Verizon is nothing more than a means to an end. They have no content that I care to see and if I could connect to the internet without them (at a reasonable speed) I would do so.
The part you are intentionally ignoring is that no corporation will ever pay more unless they have no choice. You and I will be paying more and our ISPs, who are already extremely profitable, will be even richer. I understand you're likely just a troll, but you can't possibly believe this will benefit you. Photons are not a limited resource and there is no scarcity of bandwith.
People should stop using Atlas Shrugged as their economic platform. It has never worked and never will. Especially when consumers have limited choices at speeds (mind you these are "up to") that are usable in 2017.[1]

That actually seems fair to me. When Netflix is using so much bandwidth they are basically breaking the internet, which should consumers of netflix not have to pay some share to keep the tubes flowing for the light bandwidth, far-more-educational sites like letsrun?
I also think it is funny how people think that Ajit Pai is a paid Verizon shill (probably true), when the previous administration was just as bad taking millions in donations from Comcast, ATT, Verizon etc. It's all just a giant joke. Based on polling, when someone describes net neutrality to a trump supporter, they overwhelmingly don't want the measure repealed (it's part of the "system is rigged" complex).
When a flamboyant man who wears makeup presents it, they're like a deer in headlights, and do a complete 180 on the issue.
