the rules work against the americans. how many 26 year old americans do you see competing in the NCAA? Even BYU doesn't typically have people that old and their exception is for religious missions which is 100% fair and understandable.

yet international runners consistently are competing much older than USA runners in the NCAA. the cards are stacked against the americans.

yet somehow, we still manage to DOMINATE in the Olympics and World Championships. USA USA USA USA

Kelati isn't your typical college "freshman" either - she's at least 20. had to sit out her

"senior" year in highschool due to aging out, I believe. She'll be at least 24 when she's a senior, or older,

if she redshirts at all.

It's like Donald Trump. Technically there is no law against colluding w/ Russia to win the 2016 election, but it is extremely unethical and definitely makes him a piece of crap.

Technically there's no rule against recruiting 26 year old kenyans and ethiopians, but you are destroying the spirit of the sport and robbing the rest of the ncaa out of a fair shot

I wonder Ednah and her coach are proud of her individual victory....I wouldn't be proud if I went out and dominated a pee-wee football league at the age of 22

Actually, there are a bunch of them. Jepkosgei would have to biggest feather in a recruiter's cap but of course the best of the best wouldn't waste any time running NCAA. Haile didn't, Tergat didn't, KB didn't, Paula didn't, Keitany didn't. For what it's worth, they all have eligibility to this day. I think what's bumming you out is that all of you burned your eligibility well before your prime. Why didn't you wait until you were at your peak? I didn't run for a school at 18 (nor at 17) and no one here is posting any go reason to do so. Nothing but congratulations from me.

It is sad to see many hateful message like this. Unfortunately, you don’t see her day to day and know how amazing she is as person. I hope you get the chance to meet her one day and see how humble and kind she is.

Many of you also don’t know the many struggles she has went through it get to this point. Depite genetics, every Kenyan needs to start from zero and make their way up. Some are more lucky than others.

Unfortunately there is not much love and kindness on LR. Crushes me to see people hate on my friend.
