Breaking: Clayton Murphy is grabbing his hamstring and limping off the track updated with video of limping

He didn't attempt to do the double for anything other than the money!! the kid is all about the $$$...!! Downward spiral.. so disappointing what the spotlight can do to someone

We cannot blame the guy for skipping the interview if he is injured!

I think this all points to our "win now," mentality that we have in America and also most of the world. Few pay attention to Lydiard wisdom anymore. They want to take shortcuts.

It's likely that's what happened here.

If there's an Algorithm it's a shitty one.

Bottom line, he's not a 1500 runner. Pure 800 guy. There is a reason why he couldn't hit the Oly Standard last year at 1500, yet ran 1:42 in the 800. I thought his speed would carry him through this double, but no. At least now he knows this (I hope).

What is the "Lake Oswego meet"? Is that the Portland Track Festival? If so, please be advised that Lewis and Clark College is in Portland.

Just watched the race, don't see how/where he got injured... Seems like he is just tired and didn't perform well. I think he faked it as well.

This shows why the Mixed Area is such a bad idea for athletes' health and wellbeing - minor shit gets blown out of proportion, runners in need of a fast massage and treatment are made to look snooty if heading for that, and not to mention all the real germs and viruses that flows out of journos pieholes as they shout in their faces for comments.

You have to be prepared for a Sacramento Summer. He should have stuck with just the 800. The body gets really drained. If he was also shacking up with his girl friend then his body was doubly drained.
