How badly is Ossoff going to lose the special election in Georgia's 6th District?

Obama was a brilliant intellectual who comported himself with poise and dignity in the face of racism, obstructionism, and blatant character assassinations which were all proved to be lies. Trump, not so much.

I'm not smart enough to follow everything Phife is saying, but overall this is correct.

The country is continuing to move to what we would call right now "blue." It remains to be seen if this term will continue to be used, because you're more and more going to see the two parties represent Progress, and represent a will to have it be 1953 all the time. You can guess which party is which.

The only way Republicans have been winning elections for the past 20 years or so is because of gerrymandering. No amount of twisting will allow this to work as time moves on, however.

Trump was inevitable, the way the Republicans have catered to the crazies more and more over the years. They ain't making too many more grumpy old scared white folks, however, and many haven't noticed the direction this country is moving. Very, very soon it won't matter how many turn out to vote, the majority no matter how you slice it won't want what the Republicans are selling.

They had a televised debate last week.

It was so bad the moderators were laughing.

You wouldn't elect either of these two to lead a volunteer clean up the park position.

Can I ask why you voted for a guy who doesn't even live in the district?

I mean with gerrymandering the whole idea of having someone represent an actual place is kind of past us but it just seems wrong.

Personally, I think we should ditch geographical representation. If I want Alan Keyes to represent me in Congress, I should be able to vote for him. Just have a huge national ballot, and the top 435 vote getters go to Congress.

We care about one of 435 districts because this is the kind of district (a close loss in November) that the Democrats will have to flip if they way to have a House majority in the 2018 elections.

No one in the Republican Party seemed to mind that Dick Cheney had to pretend that he still lived in Wyoming to become vice president, because he was actually a Texas resident and he cannot have the same state residence as the presidential candidate (GW Bush).
