Adrenaline rush burns energy

The evolutionary value of the "adrenaline rush" is to escape that angry "bear" that is going to eat you, it wouldnt really help you escape if all it did was needlessly burn energy woud it?

In todays society typically adrenaline rushs are bad because humans are behind desks and of shape, however, in the midst of a physical activity the rush certainly could be quite helpful especially at the end of race, at the beginning sure it may burn to much energy to soon but near the end it could be a great help.

As if the kenyans haven't been dominating this event for years on the mens side. The womens side just happens to be developing as the event is new.

Will now be looking forward to coburn getting mopped off the track each and every meet this season. Which is a shame, because she was one of our brightest distance talents.

Yes. They run two minutes slower and their full speed is the same as if they kept running.

I'm quick to jump at such unproven innuendo, especially by less talented also-rans. I watched the video posted by Letsrun and Emma Coburn did not seem to be insinuating anything at all. Yes, it might seem so in print, but to me it felt like she was talking about her own performances versus the other ladies. That QOTD doesn't give enough context.

Good to see you actually letting logic speak and not emotions. Completely agree. She knows what they aka knows how fast they run.
