Makes sense. The lack of real competition (i.e. alpha racers who are MIND STRONG) and the presence of the phalanx of pacesetters (i.e beta MIND WEAK) provided Kipchoge with a group of MIND WEAK runners from which to draw energy during his run. As each pacesetter drops off or enters, Kipchoge gets a spurt of their MIND WEAK energy and converts it to MIND STRONG energy.

Are you willing to be that ratio is the best possible? Among fast people it one of the best ratios but there are numerous sub 2:10 guys with better ratios. Unfortunately the lastest crop of Kenya marathoners tend not to have much of a track background so it is hard to know if they are 27:20 min guys with great endurance or 26:40 guys who choose to run the roads cause that is where the money is at.

Fujita is even better, since he ran 2:06:51 and 28:19.96 in the same year.

With a 10k to marathon relationship like that, even 27:00 ability right now would get Kipchoge a 2:00:54 marathon.
