Investigating Andy Sloan of Walking With the Wounded at London Marathon 2017

Can you read? I said MOST slots are allotted to charity and lottery. There are a few qualified entries, but that isn't the vast majority of London. You assertion, Derek, was that he took a spot a way from a someone who qualified which just isn't true.

You are still wrong. Ballots are only for the person that get selected, they are non-transferable. Andy Sloan took a spot he did not deserve.

Here's the thing- it's lame that you justify using someone else's bib with "but I did something for charity!"... so that makes it ok!

If you are going to do the charity route for London , do it legitimately. There aren't special rules that apply for you, snowflake.

I have contacted a newspaper (they want to take this national) and also the hospital where his sick kids are being cared for to get a comment from the nurses about their PoS father. I managed to find an ex-colleague of his wife who said she occasionally stole her stapler.

I'll draft up a press release and run it passed you for comment.

How do our think we should approach his employer? There is no chance this fraud should be working for a charity.

So you are changing your rationale? You claimed he took someone's spot. I showed you he absolutely did not.

You have ZERO proof he ran under anyone's name. If the person's name he ran under didn't run, that spot would go to waste.

Charity runners are allowed to transfer bibs. Maybe the Charity forgot to do this.

Are you hard of reading too? Where did I say that you NEVER qualify for London. I said the vast majority of people who do are Charity and Lottery. the GFA qualifiers and club qualifiers are lower numbers. Try again.

What? Are you asinine? We have black and white proof that Andy Sloan ran under Stuart Travis' bib.

Q. My friend/family member is unable to run but has a place; can I run using their entry?

A. Places in the Virgin Money London Marathon are not transferable under any circumstances - see Conditions of Entry.

Anyone attempting to run using another person’s entry will be disqualified and banned for life from the London Marathon and all other events organised by London Marathon Events Ltd.

That's not clear. I'm not sure if I follow exactly, but either one or both of the below are the issues (?):

A) He ran under someone else's bib, but raised money under the guise that he was running registered.

B) The false pretense may have been to pocket the profits himself, as it's not clear if the money has been deposited to sick kids.

I don't see evidence of pocketing money here. The problem that we see now is that Andy Sloan ran the London Marathon using someone else's bib, which is a serious lifetime bannable offense. He did this with Ed Parker and the rest of their Walking With the Wounded crew knowing. Ed Parker and Andy Sloan are head management of Walking With the Wounded.

It is especially serious because WWTW associated themselves with Dave and Terrie Reading and benefited from their fraud. And to this day, they still have their tweets, posts, and webpages up supporting those frauds and nothing to they are sorry.

You are quite sad. First of all, the rules you refer to talk about individuals. Charities ARE allowed to substitute runners. From the Website, it is the Charities responsibilities to sub before the deadline.

Perhaps the charity forgot to do this. In that case, London should really ban the charity (fat chance)

I was joking, brother. I think this whole thread is the ramblings of a guy who was picked on too much growing up.

Andy Sloan is an event organizer himself so he knows the rules that you cannot swap charity bibs after the deadline under any circumstances. He knows he was running under someone else's bib as indicated in the Just Giving comments.
