Agreed.
Somehow, someway, he moves every thread he pollutes, away from the subject of the OP and into a Broadcast for Jim Ryun.
He should be ignored because most of what he writes is embarrassingly so far from any reality that it's not even worth questioning or arguing with.
Never sticks to facts, which are....
Ryun ran 880 WR on synthetic track.
It was hand timed and thus would have been slower using automatic timing.
He never broke the 800m world record because there was no official timekeeping for that point.
He only broke 47 secs once for 400 or 440, in a relay, with hand timed 46.9, despite running dozens of relay legs during his career. There is no video of this race to check, except about 15 secs of the race at the wrong speed and hardly visible, at beginning and end of the race. About 3 secs of bend running can be seen so it is impossible to claim he ran very wide.
Ryun broke 1:45 once and 1:46 twice. To claim he could run 1:39 with that sort of evidence is embarrassingly laughable.
Ryun ran in 3 Olympics, had the opportunity to enter 5 events if he chose to take on 2 distances at the US trials, and came away with a single silver medal.
These are facts. Not far fetched nonsense that Calculo offers.
