See the winter base 10 miles in the AM at 5:30 pace, 10 miles in the PM at 5:20 pace. Periodized distance strength, and transition phase 100 meter speed.
No illusion there, Jamin. Just the willingness to work on the mileage strength , and then focus on the sharpening speed.

If you would have stated: Many/most 400m races, then you would have been correct. In 2016 Summer Olympic men 400m final, Wayde van Niekerk was slowing down the least over the final 100m. In 1984 Summer Olympics men 800m final, Joaquim Cruz most certainly raced faster 100m to 200m than Cruz raced 700m to 800m. Nearly all 200m sprints are managed deacceleration the final 30m. You stated none of what I just stated.
