The price doesn't include you getting to Chile to start...and it also doesn't include your airfare home from Australia...so total cost is probably more like $41-42k (but hey what's a few thousand more at that point!) if coming from the US.
Cape Town is not in Chile , Sage its about 1270km WSW from Durban, you know right there at the pointy end of Africa
BTW, what exactly is the logistical challenge of this? It is organised, marathon events are specifically put on (and adjusted around arrival time), charter flights used, and they don't even circumnavigate the globe.
Ranulph Fiennes who did it with his doctor mate Mike Stroud in 2003, only 4 months after a double bypass, at least had to get commercial flights and arrange his own 'races' in the foreign cities, by asking friends, people on forums etc
They also did not circumnavigate though.
I am interested to know if anyone has achieved it while circumnavigating globe, if not back to starting place, and using commercial flights. Is it logistically possible?
