Someone said the ipod is not good for running because it has moving parts. Is this true? Could you trust it? Possible breakdown? And how about the Nano ipod?

Regular ipod is not made for exercise. The flash shuffle is made for exercise. I wouldn't use a $350 dollar ipod for running, it isn't that light and unless you don't sweat it will get damaged.
Leave the ipod at home and pick up a $100 shuffle for running. I have heard they rust out so you can't put them in your shorts unless you buy a case and the jelly covers don't keep out moisture. You would need the plastic snap case which I have heard mixed reviews on. Put it in the plastic one and then drop it in a ziplock bag.
The creative got good reviews but it doesn't prevent moisture from leaking inside. I actually saw a review on one of the electronic web sites for a flash (oregon something was the company) that could be used for water sports and was made to be submerged! Sounded interesting.
Yes it works. I got a free Ipod and am trying to get the computer. You should all try it out...if you think you can get enough people to sign up.
This on is for a free computer
I took my new shuffle out for a long run on a humid day and dealt it a death blow from sweat. One replacement later I bought a plastic skin that keeps most of the sweat out of it. I also tuck it under the back of my visor rather than in the key pocket of the shorts to reduce the amount of sweat that may get to it.
Rock on.
