1. Wetmore's status here and your opinion of it is not relevant to the conversation. His comment on drugs is credible though.

2. Don't put words in my mouth. I never stated Uta was "just a stupid bimbo" or even implied that. She is sharp and at times stubborn. But her lover/coach is a possessive control freak, though he is not an out-and-out bad guy at heart.

3. The Harvard Medical School-based "real doctor" who tested Uta's T/EPIT ratio has won several Nobel Prizes. Dr. Arpad DePagy (M.D., Ph.D.). (Don't have the data in front of me).

OK One KEG....it looks like the last two posts called your bluff. ALSO please remeber, a Chiro is NOT A REAL DOCTOR. Why is it that every chiro I've known has always been so defensive about "yes we are real doctors...blah, blah we do as much study as MD's etc., etc." Ever look at the difference in admission standards to go to med school vs chiro school. You rarely see

top of the class types going to chiro school. Chiro's are OK for structural issues but overall health, drug testing, surgery, etc.....not with my body.

PS: Wetmore and Uta can take care of themselves. Face it you were defending them. All I was saying is that if they are in the public eye they're going to take some heat now and then and that's part of the price of their glory. Same with Regina too.

I am fairly sure that Marie Curie won two Nobel prizes but she is no longer available for consultation.

Linus Pauling was the only person to ever receive to UNSHARED Nobel prizes. One was for his work in chemistry, one was the peace prize. A few others have won two Nobels, but were joint recipients on at least one of them.

You right that Jacobs might have tested positive in she was gonna be test. I agree with you guys that she does't appear in International meets in europe coz she knows what's going own.

I m from kenya (runner) and i have been thinking that most of the US road races or marathons they USATF don't take druck test and we know there are atleast people who might test positive. For instance runners from Brasil, Ronaldo who ran 2.06 WR and he never ran again under 2.10 again. So we Kenyans don't even know what is drucks but we but alot of training and later someone comes and kick our hess just becouse he/she uses drucks. We will still run good but though the IAAF and USTF will take action.

It was the head of Harvard Medical School's OB-Gyn who tested Uta Pippig as well as her chiropractor who sent samples there for ratification since chiropractors are not held in the same regard as doctors. But it was not Dr. DePagy and I'll have to get back to you guys on his Nobel Prize status which is probably linked to chiropractic work.

As for defending Uta and Wetmore, I was trying to illustrate a point. In Uta's case, sometimes situations are more complex than they seem on paper. Coach Wetmore is still a very credible source of information regarding drug testing. But as you say, whether Wetmore is taken to task on this message board for other issues is of little pertinance to this thread.

One point was, Regina could eat ten Rocky Mountain Oysters a day, jack her testosterone levels up, and not test positive for an illegal substance. The drug-testing list and process is both incomplete and flawed is all.

Apply everything that you are saying to the NCAA. Poor testing, randon tests that are announced, don't publish the results.

How do we know you weren't? There wasn't any drug testing, was there? And besides, it's easy to fool the tests. You're looking a little more muscular this year. Just not natural for someone at your age...blah blah blah...etc. etc. etc.

The random tests can be announced a day or so before the testing so that the athletes can come to one place. If someone is taking anything that would help them, 24 hours is not enough time to get rid of it from the system.

When a positive result comes in, it is announced.

It could be that no one has tested positive as a collegian.
