Rupp was planning on running the Amsterdam Marathon in a few months. It seems to be that is a bad idea considering Rupp said his legs were shot which caused him to slow and make wide turns the last several miles.
Yes, he needs to figure out how many marathons he can run each year without wearing himself down too much. And you can call me dad, just don't expect me to cover your college tuition.
And by the way, I'm old enough to have seen more than one psychological ploy in competitive athletics. Did the ice hat help him, or did he only think it did, and if only the latter, was that enough of a plus to make it worthwhile?
