Problem for Bishop is that she'll never see it. IF it were just three suspected dopers, there might be hope for future disqualification. But since CAS overturned the IAAF's decision regarding the Indian runner and the testosterone limits were not in effect for the Olympics, that means Semenya and others with high T were completely legal during the Games, no matter how ridiculous as that maybe.

Bishop will have to live with moral victories.

You should have seen the CBC-TV interview in the mixed zone after the race. She was SO, SO, sad and upset. All of us on LRC have been pre-awarding all the medals to the 3 questionable people for months, and so 4th place should seem to be the best she could possibly do.

But she was not at all happy about 4th place, which is often a good indicator of a champion athlete, which she is now, a champion women's athlete. I also feel bad for her, as she will be 32 at the next Games.

The oldest women's world record is the 800m held by Jarmila Kratochvilova at 1:53.28…which is still faster than Ms. Semenya.

That interview actually brought tears to my eyes, how could the fat cats let this happen, pure tragedy.

The irony is with the genetic men at the front locking away the medals there was little motivation to dope and with the Russian out this was likely the most drug free final since the 60's.

I don't even see that Semenya is transgender. He has male secondary sexual characteristics, no female sexual characteristics, gonads (internal) that produce male levels of testosterone, a male physical structure with no female elements, identifies as a male (married his long term girlfriend in tribal male clothes), sounds like a man, etc..

But because he was brought up in a poor African village, women have to be discriminated against in case of racism.

No need for a separate race here: Semenya can run against the other men, and it will be better for her running if she has to raise her game instead of coasting around against a different sex.
