You really can't make this stuff up, on the Internet. The BBC (mirabile dictu) decides to only interview "other cyclists" who just happen to support and take Armitstead's side of things (a decided minority, at least outside the UK island), and the UK fansters immediately cheer to call this "impartial". Fair and balanced, is that the slogan? Just like the MacLaren report against Russia was too, I guess.

Interesting that in the BBC recoverable of the women's cycling race today they started by discussing Lizzie's three missed tests. Interviewing other riders about it one.of which called it shameful, stated that for many people both 'back home and abroad' will frown upon Lizzie's inclusion and even 'hope she doesn't medal'. Also said that a win by Lizzie will be forever tainted by her missed tests.

So it seems the OP just made up his whole post?

Apart from being shortened it doesn't look edited in any way. I watched most of the race earlier just not the pre-race build up where they talked about the doping.

Unless they went back in time and created the piece interviewing the other cyclists in daylight.

OP clearly just started watching halfway through and lost his shit prematurely.

I don't follow cycling, but I am sure in that huge field there were other cyclists that have served doping suspensions, and I don't recall the commentators in the race talking about any of the other dopers either.

You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until the athletics start when Crammy and "our Paula" start. Will there be any mention of Christine Ohuruogh's ban from a few years back and her mysterious ability to round into medal winning form for major championships? Or the numerous Jamaican sprinters who have tested positive? Or the recent bust of the coach to several Ethiopian medal hopes that Farah and Charlie Grice have spent time with? I wonder!
