Justin Gatlin - 2x Convicted Drug Cheat Now A Hero

What a story... no one cares anymore though. Justice failed and Gatlin is back competing - kind of takes the wind out of the sails.

Anyone HONESTLY think the Brojos are honest? Would you trust them to not stab you in the back? Really? What about their friend Radcliffe... do you honestly think Radcliffe is not the dirtiest cheat ever? But the Brojos are happy to keep this story in the closet. Yeah, I sort of wish a larger population could appreciate track for the competition - good races, good competitions, and not only be interested when a world record is at stake.

As far as the sport and drug use, I'm on the cynical side. I don't think they'll ever completely clean it up. Too much at stake to too many people. So, there will continue to be cheats, and I suppose there are a few people getting done naturally as well. Yet, I can still appreciate the competition.

Any dope could tell ya that the penalties gotta be stiffer if ya'll want clean sport. The system in place exalts those who cheat.

I don't know what's going on with Bolt or Gatlin. No idea. This is usually where the determined denier stops reading.

What I do know:

-Diack publicly stated Bolt is essential to the sport. A sanction would damage the sport's brand. (chuckle)

-The long, long, long history of corruption at the IAAF.

-The IAAF is not sanctioning scores that are getting podiums. You'd think that with the bio-passport in full effect there would have been a spike in positives when it was made "official." No spike.

-The anti-doping rules the IAAF wrote enable doping.

-Simple science tells us performance gains are asymptotic. Somehow there is no asymptote.

-In the long history of sprinting, 30+ year old sprinters DON'T set world records. (or nearly so)

The IAAF would have us believe human history is invalid and human limits (worldwide) are all gone.

And now I'm supposed to imagine these are clean athletes? No.
