In my opinion, one should never say, "Should I get a tattoo?" If the response is positive, then the following question would be, "Okay, then what do I get?" I think that one should be passionate enough about something to want to include it in their lives forever physically. A tattoo is not fashion to me, it's a symbol of something you love. If you love something enough and have kept it up for a huge span of time (running for your life), then I don't see a problem with something small as a symbol. However, to get a big tattoo of something that means little or that represents something you're likely to lose passion for in a few years is just a little dumb. So my point is that people shouldn't want to get a tattoo and then decide what to get. The subject should come first, then one should say, "Oh, I want to make that permanent in my life." Or, of course, you could make it permanent by keeping on doing it (if it's running) instead of getting some guy to put it in ink on your body.
