So what if he dodged the draft. Refusing to go murder foreigners is a good thing.

There were no consequences. He was rich and he got off free compared to those who went to war. For the first half of his life he was a jerk. Maybe he was different when he was older. He was disrectful to people and was antiamerican

I venture he was prettier than the likes of Liston and Frazier, pure Africans, because he had some white genes from some Irish slave master mixed up with his blackness.

The same reason why there are so many good looking African American females, when one compares them to pure African women back in the dark continent.

Ali said when he was over there and asked what he thought of Africa: - ‘I’m glad my grandpappy got on that boat.’

And he wasn’t that bright and intelligent to fall for the nonsense the Black Muslims spew out and allow them to control his life and career.

I notice the US Army found he had an IQ of 78 during induction which would account for it.

I am Seriously confused why everyone worships Ali for being so great. He acted out every stereo type whites had about blacks. He was loud obnoxious rude and showed no respect for others.

There were many respectful intelligent black athletes who did so much more

You can like Ali or hate him. That doesn't change his legacy as one of the greatest sports figures the world has ever seen.

I love to read about Ali's old school training methods...6 miles of road work early in the morning with combat boots on (supposedly he did 6 miles in 40 mins, but I call total BS on that). He was a great talent, smart and super duper entertaining.

No before him if was yes Sir no Sir. Others without his charisma have just spoiled jt.

He could have easy signed up for Vietnam & just done PR work.

He was the best heavyweight I've seen He want just quick he was blind lightning could still punch & take a punch.

Ali was the greatest for awhile, without the use of roids.

Mike Tyson was better for awhile, but I believe he was on roids.

Tyson had a stretch of about 20 fights where he was absolutely invincible and won with brutality. Of course he did have a few doormat opponents.

As a kickboxer I hung out with boxers and was a fan of the sport. I was coached by two-time world champ, who has a ton of respect for Ali.

He didn't dodge the draft in the vein of being afraid to running and hiding to Canada, he refused to help a white president fight yet another non-white people in Vietnam. He was referring to 400 years of slavery and at that time racism was still an issue, heck it continues to be an issue. He said that the black man in the US is not treated well and therefore felt it unjust. He had made reference to treating 22 million black people better first.

He was willing to go to jail and had probably walked away from endorsement money.

Parkinsons is not necessarily caused by boxing.

He was likely the most influential black person behind Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. He was respected by all races in the states. I don't know a Canadian that isn't in awe of Ali.
