That guy... wrote:Um, an 860 squat on a squat machine? You're either a horrible liar, or you don't know what a squat machine is. A squat machine would be a Smith Machine or hack squat apparatus. You did not squat 860 on either of these. More than likely you loaded a hip sled or leg press machine to 860 lbs and did about 4" range of movement. If you're going to lie, at least make it believable.
The numbers are correct and yes that's what I do at this advanced age of 62."SQUAT" on this, DB. Call it what you want, matters not to me. Smith, squat, hack squat, whatever. Its not squatting with a bar on my shoulders cause my knees would blow. Like you.
What kind of machine? 860 on a "squat machine" is meaningless unless you tell what machine.
Are you saying you do 860 on both a Smith machine and a hack squat machine? Those are two entirely different things, it'd be an amazing coincidence that you do the same precise number on both.
And you squat on dumbbells? What does that mean?
A Smith squat also has a bar on your shoulders. And why does having a bar on your shoulders blow your knees out while having a padded load on your shoulders like other "squat machines" not blow your knees out?
If you barbell bench 330 (assuming that's not a machine), you know your way around a weight room, why do you not know what "squat machine" you're using?
