I'd guess you are in the majority - most liberal arts majors have a job in other fields than what they studied.

I majored in history and now work in construction. It's not half bad. It keeps me ripped, which the ladies love. Plus the day ends as soon as I leave work. The pay isn't great but I supplement my income slanging dime bags to high school kids.
Majoring in history helps make for a knowledgeable, appreciative perspective. A person can't appreciate the difficulties in what lies ahead without knowing the work previous generations put in for us to be where we are today. Just kidding, your major is useless.
