Risch may have some personality issues he needs to work on, but I don't think it'll help the track & field community to be so caustically critical of a guy in a somewhat closely related endurance event.
As for Bernard, it's really nice to see that he's back. I'm really excited to see what he does at U.S. Outdoor Nationals.
I found this guy annoying, so I made the above posts complaining about him. It is entirely possible that he can have an overly inflated opinion of the credibility of racewalking, be a bit of an @$$ on an elevator, say negative things about 3000m runners in front of a crowd of track fans, and still be massively more deserving of respect than Rossi and Greathouse.At least that is what I believe. I think we should probably move on and leave this guy alone. A bit silly and cringeworthy? Sure. Deserving of thousands of mocking and hateful posts? I believe not.In fact, part of me wishes I could be a true believer in the worthiness of a goal as low as "elite" racewalking status. Then I wouldn't feel like half of a failure for knowing I'll never be an olympian, no matter how many more years I give this sport. At least this racewalk guy can have that to pat himself on the back about, even if only the other race walkers are impressed.

Please don't talk so negatively about people loudly on your cell phone at a track event. Maybe you don't realize this because you're a racewalker, but the traxk community is small.
Also don't be an @$$ and push past a woman in a stroller and everybody else in line trying to get onto the same elevator to the same parking garage as you. If you thought you were more important because you were in the meet, you weren't the only one on the elevator in the meet, and we let the woman with the baby on first because she was at the front of the line already, you bypassed an entire line of people who were waiting behind us, easily 5 elevator loads of people.
Racewalking is already thought of poorly by most of us in track, you don't help your situation.
